Wrestling By The Numbers: Ric Flair

Wrestling By The Numbers: Richard ‘Ric Flair’ Fliehr

It has been reported that TNA Wrestling has parted ways with legendary wrestler Richard ‘The Nature Boy Ric Flair’ Fliehr. The 63-year-old Memphis Tennessee native had been with TNA for the past two and a half years after first debuting back in January of 2010. It is believed Ric Flair was released around May 9th after he started no-showing his scheduled appearances with the organization. TNA Wrestling has named Ric Flair in their contract tampering lawsuit against the WWE and has never publically announced his departure from the company. Flair, whose professional wrestling career has now spanned over 40-years, became the first person ever inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame twice when he was given the honor for a second time this past April as a member of The Four Horseman.

Considered by many to be the greatest professional wrestler of all-time, Flair has worked and was a major player in all the major promotions he worked for. He was a world champion main event draw during his time in the National Wrestling Alliance, Jim Crockett Promotions / World Championship Wrestling and during his 2-stints with World Wrestling Entertainment. He has also worked for the American Wrestling Association, Ring Of Honor Wrestling and numerous overseas promotions. Ric Flair was originally trained by Verne Gagne and first debuted back in 1967.
