Jay Youngblood was my sister’s absolute favorite as a child. I always wondered why he never went to WWF/WWE when Ricky Steamboat did and why no one ever brings up his name.
Steamboat/Youngblood vs Slaughter & Kernoodle in 1983 was EXACTLY the way a tag team should be booked. The energy in the arena the night Jay & Steamer won the titles in the cage was off the hook. The pop nearly blew the roof off the joint. No one, and I mean NO ONE could make a crowd pop like JCP did in the 80s.
Sorry…that should read the way a tag team FEUD should be booked.
