TNA Entertainment Releases Statement Regarding Current Litigation

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — TNA Entertainment, LLC President Dixie Carter releases a statement in regard to the recent TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) the company filed against WWE in the Davidson County Circuit Court in Nashville, Tennessee.

TNA President Dixie Carter states, “We were not surprised that the Court originally granted a swift temporary restraining order against WWE to prohibit interference with TNA’s contracts and business relationships. I’m pleased that the Court has now replaced that temporary measure with the most recent judicial Order. The Judge’s current Order sends a strong message about the importance of TNA protecting its trade secrets. Obviously, the accuracy of what WWE has represented remains important, so I look forward to the discovery process and what is revealed during litigation. As always, we will vigorously protect TNA and its brand from damage at the hands of any and all sources, no matter who is involved.”

What, in God’s green earth, would WWE want from TNA? Oh, I get it now. WWE wants the secrets of pushing 1.0 ratings and how to bury young talent with locker room cancer.

  2. -J- says:

Why the hell did this Wittenstein even have access to such information, what can wwe learn from tna except the time when contracts expire and the salaries (which they could easily discover simply by talking directly to the talent) interesting that the court removed the restraining order against wwe as well.

  3. Nick says:

J, more likely than not, TNA has workers under non-disclosure agreements so they can’t talk about their wages. Wittenstein clearly WAS under such terms. Either way, stealing business secrets is incredibly illegal (if caught) and can cause big problems. This Wittenstein guy is in for a world of hurt whether TNA’s lawsuit against WWE is finalized or not.

  5. Hans says:

Ok, Travis, I’m no TNA fan, but even I know when too far is too far. I’ll give you Hogan and Bitchoff but to call wrestlers like Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson nobodies is a stretch.

  6. Travis says:

@ Hans. I did not mean they were nobody’s I just simply meant WWE has zero interest in them at this point in their careers. They already let them go. I also meant the majority of wrestling fans could care less about watching either of those two on the main stage. Angle is good for a match here and there he proved that Sunday but his better days are far behind him. The only way he will get back in the WWE will be through a Legends contract or the Hall of Fame where he belongs.

  7. Steve says:

    This is just sad.

  8. james says:

I agree this is sad kurt angle is always trying to talk wwe talent into going to tna.
