TNA Hall of Fame Announcement

TNA President Dixie Carter comes out to the ring. She announces this is the largest live crowd for TNA in the United States. Carter thanks every wrestler for stepping in the TNA ring making the company what it is today. She invites all TNA wrestlers and staff to walk out to the stage. AJ Styles is up front. Dixie introduces the first inductee into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame…Sting. A video package airs featuring Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle and others talking about Sting's career. Sting being very humble as he hugs Dixie in the ring. Dixie announces the formal induction will take place at Bound for Glory in October. A loud “THANK YOU STING” chant starts up. Some “YES!” chants as well. Sting takes the mic and says he wasn't prepared for this. He thanks Dixie, the men and women of the TNA roster and a thank you chant for the fans.

  2. Matt says:

Honestly I would’ve had Sting be the 3rd inductee, after Jeff Jarrett and then AJ Styles. But whatever, it’s not up to me.

  3. Hipnosis says:

    Should have been AJ Styles.

  4. -J- says:

I SAID IT !!!!! ALSO!!! TNA is super cool bro!

  5. theprincedann says:

If it wasn’t the Jarrett family, then Sting was the perfect choice. 😀

  6. The Legend Killer says:

So in what thing TNA would use Christian Cage?

  7. brandon says:

I figured just because he hasn’t been in the WWE Hall Of Fame and now he probably never will be thanks TNA for ruining what could of been a REAL dedication!

  8. JD Storm says:

@brandon, the odds of Sting making it into WWE’s Hall of Fame was pretty slim, to begin with.

personally, i would’ve had a few introductions go ahead of Sting. Jeff & Jerry Jarrett would’ve been better choices. same with Ron Killings and AJ Styles.

  9. loo s says:

@J….you are the best….you always crack me up

  10. LLL says:

    @Matt and @Hypnosis
I agree with you both. But at least it wasn’t Christian like a lot of the rumors thought it would be. At the same time it shouldn’t have been a shocker since Sting and Dixie get along so well.

  11. Stone Dawg says:

They’re just trying to say that Sting was in THEIR hall of fame first and WWE is just copying them whenever Sting is inducted to the WWE hall of fame.

TNA isn’t big enough to cover all of wrestling. They should just stick to honoring TNA wrestlers (Jarret, Shamrock, etc.) that have been there for the long haul. TNA should stop pretending to be anywhere near the old (good) WCW or current WWE until they can do several things:

    1. Consistently get over a 2 in the ratings. This 1.0 and below BS is a joke.

    2. Raise their house show numbers to a respectable level. WWE’s house shows in Podunk, USA are bigger than TNA’s frickin’ PPV’s. Think about that.

    3. Stop trying to make things ‘real’. Wrestling fans want drama. They don’t want to see talk about ratings on the air or backstage secrets being revealed. Who wants to see Roode beat up another wrestler in order to raise ratings over Roode beating someone to a pulp because the other guy said he could do a better job of pleasing Roode’s girlfriend/wife?

    4. Get real fans to attend the TV tapings instead of half-retarded super marks that want to get themselves over instead of enjoying the wrestling.

  12. Kerry says:

Should’ve been Jeff or Jerry Jarrett since they started the company.

  13. Zach says:

Stinger huh… Major fan but in all reality it should have been Double J

  14. Joshua says:

a great show so far…but who did Crimson beat ?

  15. loo s says:

I agree with stone dawg about why he was the choice. Its a big FU to the WWE by telling them he’s in OUR Hall of Fame and not yours. But then you have to think, how many people per year are they going to induct. If it’s a couple then it might work for them. But if they want to induct five per year then in three or four years they’ll be inducting Shark Boy and other non worthy members. They if they really want to be an alternative to the WWE HOF then they should start by inducting non active wrestlers that accomplished something in TNA such as Ken Shamrock or Jeff Jarrett. We will see in five years how this works out for them…

  16. loo s says:

@joshua crimson got squashed by James storm…

  17. Joe says:

I still think it’s ridiculous that TNA even has a hall of fame. After-all, it has only been ten years. If there is going to be someone inducted into TNA’s hall of fame I’m glad it is Sting.

  18. ravonn says:

    Well deserved for sting

  19. rob says:

    Wow. Brilliant.

  20. Jim says:

WWE should induct the Jarretts, even without their involvement.

This is a silly move to “get Sting first.” Like WCW, TNA needs to realize that need to worry about THEIR product, not what the “other guys” are doing.

  21. -J- says:

    @loo s highfive bro!

  22. Ace Rider says:

And once again a pathetic attempt by TNA to outdo WWE!!!! But when you are the underdog you have to at least try
