Wrestling By The Numbers: Kipp ‘Eli Cottonwood’ Christianson

World Wrestling Entertainment has agreed to part ways with Kipp ‘Eli Cottonwood’ Christianson after the star of WWE N.X.T. Season 2 asked for his release from the organization. The 37-year-old River Falls Wisconsin native had spent the past 4-years with the WWE competing mostly in their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling. He finished in seventh place on Season 2 of WWE N.X.T. where he was paired with his coach John Morrison.

Prior to joining the WWE Christianson was a former professional basketball player. He played in both the International Basketball Association and the Continental Basketball Association. In 1998 he played for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League. He was also a standout college star while attending St. John’s University in Minnesota he led the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in field goal percentage in his junior year.
