Ohh well. At least he won’t be World/WWE Champ for a while.

  2. -J- says:

wish he’d take a few acting lessons or something while he takes his break.

  3. Ostego says:

We won’t see Brother Ran Dee Ortan Cage anytime soon? Damn.

  4. RS says:

Awesome! Shame they aren’t releasing him, but this is good to hear. :)

  5. AJ Starr says:

He will win the World Title a month after he comes back, bank on it.

Little hypocrisy from the WWE goes a long way. Every time he’s been in trouble for something, they just reward him.

  6. Todd says:

from a business point of view, the guy brings in ALOT of money

  7. Chris James says:

I actually believe Orton has improved with his mic work. He’s more comfortable and it’s finding his groove with it.. We all know he’s flawless in the ring just his mic work needed attention. He wouldn’t degrade his ability by signing with tna but I think it’s smart to have him sit and sulk while all the others have ppvs and big checks. Let him think about it…

  8. AJ Starr says:

Chris, you seem to be a blind mark for Orton.

Flawless in the ring? Who’s matches are you watching and how much are you drinking before you view them?

Or heck, are you Randy Orton?

Please tell me that’s pure sarcasm on your part.

  9. goh says:

the sooner the better orton is worlds better than cm drunk and dumbbell bryan

  10. AJ Starr says:

You guys are the reason WWE books the way they do.

Apparently talent isn’t what you look for in wrestlers.

  11. Jake the Drake says:

Oh wow, AJ ‘Starr’ is still frequenting these comment-sections… doing the usual routine of typing like he knows everything & everyone else is clueless. Quite funny considering the guy is a horrible random-gym-performer who has never got anywhere, has no education past H.S., and from seeing his 3-5 year old youtube vids with ~50 views as of today, he can’t cut a promo nor wrestle.. let alone claim he can book better than the WWE or any one else that comments here.

How many times have you ‘quit watching WWE/mainstream wrestling’ or said you’d stop posting here/deleted your account? Seriously, get a girlfriend, a job, an education, and a real life.. then come here and comment, you definitely won’t be so bitter and whiny.

  12. AJ Starr says:

Oh look, here’s the keyboard warrior out to prove himself to the Gerweck comment field marks.

Do you feel more special now that you’ve impressed the other 400 pounder who talks to me like that?

Get a clue, your petty little insults mean nothing to me, because I know full well you wouldn’t have the sack to even dare speak to me like that face to face. Better than you have tried!

  13. Hans says:

@Jake now there’s the pot calling the kettle black.

  14. Latrese says:

Wow I think we have seriously stepped away from the story here. Orton is suffering for his sins as he should. Don’t get me wrong I have been a fan for a long time and I used to be an avid watcher, but the wwe has slipped alot since wcw went out of business because they have no one to compete with them. Randy orton has worked some decent matches thoughout his career. Is he a consistantly excellent match worker? No, but he does bring a magnetism to the table that alot of the young stars are seriously lacking these days. Like cena, he draws a reaction. Whether it is negative or positive it is a reaction and that means he is doing his job. The time off for his is desperately needed due to alot of recent injuries which could play a part in his lackluster match work. Orton is not a mic worker, but it has been proven that you don’t have to have fantastic mic skills to be successful. The undertaker is a prime example of this fact. The man does not speak often, but when he does he says what he needs to say and then lets his work in the ring talk for him. Orton is kind of like that, although as of late his work in the ring has not really spoken well of his talent. Give the guy a break. All of you orton haters just back off a bit. Was he stupid? Beyond a shadown of a dount. Did he get caught? Yep he sure did and now he is paying for it. Ease up and lets remember it really is just a show

  15. AJ Starr says:

    That isn’t the point, Latrese.

The guy is making well over a million a year, and he has a family to support. What he’s done is put yet another black eye on the business, hurt himself and his family. His track record makes him look like one of the worst of this decade. In a time where a wrestler doing steroids and being busted is almost unheard of compared to the 80s and 90s… Orton has dealt a massive blow to himself and the WWE. This would be equal to say… Piper being busted with cocaine in the back room before a huge PPV back in the day.

The WWE has no reason to even bring Orton back. His track record shows he WILL do this again. It’s been almost a decade and the guy STILL cannot get himself on the ball.
