The Ultimate Fighting Championship has released lightweight fighter ‘The Prince Of Persia’ Kamal Shalorus. The 34-year-old Khalkhal Ardabil Iran native had been with the UFC for the past 2-years after being signed by the company during it’s take over of World Extreme Cagefighting. Since joining the UFC Shalorus has fought 3-times recording 3 straight losses with the company. His most recent fight was on May 15th losing by submission to Rafael dos Anjos early in the 3rd round. Prior to joining the UFC, Shalorus was undefeated having not lost in his first 9-professional fights.
Kamal Shalorus first debuted in mixed martial arts 4-years ago back in 2008. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter who trains with Relson Gracie and Phil Cardella. He has also spent time training at Xtreme Couture with Randy Couture and Neil Melanson. After only 5-professional fights he signed in 2009 with World Extreme Cagefighting and went undefeated for the year he was with the organization. Kamal Shalorus has a career record of 7-3-2.
