~ The full list of TUF Live Finale medical suspensions included:
Martin Kampmann: Suspended until Aug. 1 with no contact in training until July 17 due to facial lacerations
Jake Ellenberger: Suspended until July 2 with no contact until June 23 for precautionary reasons
Michael Chiesa: Suspended until Nov. 29 to a possible left-hand injury, though a doctor can clear him early with X-rays
Pat Schilling: Suspended until Nov. 29 to possible right-hand and right-shoulder injuries, though a doctor can clear him early with X-rays; regardless, suspended until July 2 for precautionary reasons
John Cofer: Suspended until Aug. 1 with no contact until July 17 for precautionary reasons
Chris Tickle: Suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 due to left-eye and lip lacerations
Sam Sicilia: Suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 due to a lower-lip cut
Cristiano Marcello, Jeremy Larsen: Suspended until July 17 with no contact until July 2 for precautionary reasons
~ UFC middleweight veteran Jake Rosholt, 30, suffered a huge setback on Saturday in the main event of Xtreme Knockout 15. Rosholt was submitted (Kneebar) by Matt Thompson (17-9) at 4:16 into Round 1. Rosholt (12-4, 1 No-Contest) entered the bout 5-0, with 1 NC before suffering the defeat. Rosholt went 1-2 for the UFC in 2009.
~ Ring of Fire 43: Bad Blood occurred in Bloomfield, Colorado last Saturday. In the co-main event, the Ultimate Fighter 9 alum “Moneyman” Cameron Dollar (11-4) captured the vacant ROF Featherweight Championship with a second-round submission (Rear Naked Choke) victory over former UFC/WEC fighter Tyler “Thunder” Toner (13-4). It happened at exactly 2:00 into Round 2. Dollar is 7-2 in his last 9 bouts.
~ 27 year-old UFC middleweight veteran Dongi “The Ox” Yang (10-3) has been released by the promotion following 2 straight losses. Yang went 1-3 in the UFC with all of his losses coming by way of decision. The South Korean has fought as high as heavyweight.
~ The UFC’s injury woes continue as Brazilian light heavyweight Thiago Silva (14-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) has been forced to pull out of July’s UFC 149 event in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was set to face Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. UFC 149 takes place July 21 at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome.
