~ UFC middleweight veteran Ryan Jensen improved to 16-8 last Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska. Jensen submitted (Guillotine Choke) Jason Louck at 4:28 into Round 1. The bout main evented “Disorderly Conduct – Warriors.” Jensen went 2-6 in 2 separate stints with the UFC. He last fought at UFC 129. In 24 career contests, he has never gone to a decision.
~ Official fighter weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale take place Thursday. The weigh-ins, which are free and open to the public, take place at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The first fighter is on the scale at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT local time),
~ UFC/WEC middleweight veteran Jake Rosholt (12-3, 1 NC) will compete against Matt Thompson (16-9) this Saturday in Arlington, Texas. The bout is the main event of Back Alley Promotions – Xtreme Knockout 15. Rosholt went 1-2 for the UFC in 2009. Rosholt has not fought since July 15, 2011.
~ Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Maurice Smith (13-13) will face Preston Snook (5-2) in a light-heavyweight bout at the aptly named Resurrection Fighting Alliance show, scheduled for June 30. The 3rd event for RFA occurs at the Viaero Event Center in Kearney, Nebraska. Smith, a vet of Strikeforce & PRIDE, IS 50 YEARS OLD!!!
~ UFC veteran Michael Guymon (13-5-1) faces Mike Dizak (5-4) in a lightweight bout at BAMMA USA – Badbeat 6. The card occurs at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California. Guymon is a former King of the Cage Welterweight Champion. He went 1-3 in a 1-year tenure with the UFC.
