Wrestling By The Numbers: Anthony Nese

TNA Wrestling has parted ways with performer Anthony Nese after he requested his release from the organization. The 26-year-old Ridge New York native had been with TNA Wrestling for the past 6-months after being signed back in December of last year. Nese requested his release after being told by TNA he wasn’t able to wrestle at the PWS internet pay-per-view event that is scheduled for June 1st. Nese is schedule to team with Sami Callihan and face The Great Muta and Kai and was upset he wasn’t going to be allowed to perform at the event.

Anthony Nese first debuted in professional wrestling back in 2005 after having been trained by Mikey Whipwreck. TNA Wrestling has been his biggest exposure but he has worked for various independent organizations under the names Matt Cultrone, Matt Maverick and Tony Ace. His largest success came in the New York Wrestling Connection where he became the company’s heavyweight champion twice and became both a tag-team and interstate champion with the organization.
