Impact Spoilers for Thursday

Bobby Roode came out and bragged about his victory over Rob Van Dam at Sacrifice. Because he is going to be the longest World Champion in TNA history, he wants a celebration party. He called out Hulk Hogan to confirm. Hogan declined it and later announced that at next week is Open Fight Night and the TNA Title will be defended.

It was then announced that there will be a series of matches (Bully Ray vs RVD, Anderson vs Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle, and a Battle Royal) with the winners facing off next week in a four-way. The winner of that match will face Roode later in the night for the TNA Title.

1. Bully Ray defeated Rob Van Dam. Ray advances to the four-way match.

2. AJ Styles won a 10-Man Battle Royal. Styles advances to the four-way. Also included in the battle royal were Austin Aries, Robbie E and Robbie T, Devon, Garett Bischoff, Crimson, Magnus, Eric Young and Gunner. After the match, Hogan congratulated Styles.

AJ stood in the ring to explain the Dixie Carter scandal. Before he could thoroughly explain it, Christopher Daniels and Kazarian came out and interrupted him. Daniels and Kazarian showed a video their iPad of Dixie Carter and AJ Styles at a hotel. They ended up going into a hotel room together. Daniels and Kazarian trash talked Styles, who went after the tag champions but eventually left the ring.

3. Gail Kim defeated Velvet Sky and Brooke Tessmacher in a three-way to retain the TNA Knockouts Title. Gail won when she stole a pin from Velvet Sky to retain the Knockouts Title.

4. Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson. Hardy advanced to the four-way match that will be held on next week’s show (taped on Tuesday).

5. Kurt Angle defeated Samoa Joe. Angle advances to next week’s four-way. He won by reversing the Musclebuster into a rollup. Bobby Roode, who was on commentary, had a few words with Angle after the match. Eventually, Jeff Hardy came to ringside followed by Bully Ray and AJ Styles on the stage. Roode had a staredown with his four potential challengers.

Aries should have won the Battle Royal. :(

But since that didn’t happen I hope that Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy or Bully Ray wins the Fatal Four match.

I was hopping a Roode vs Joe storyline (he really deserves it)but we have old, awful and recycled contenders as the same as TNA is doing these days. A complete dissapointment :(

It’ll be even worse if he drops the title and doesn’t get the longest reign record.

I don’t think it’s the same old tired recycled contenders. Those are TNA’s main eventers. I think or hope I should say that they’re building towards Styles vs Roode at slammiversary. It’s the ten year anniversary and AJ being the face of TNA for so long it only makes sense for him to beat Roode. If Joe wants to see the main event again then he HAS to lose some weight. Although I kind of get the feeling that we might be seeing Roode and Angle for the title. Whoever becomes the number one contender they need to give us a reason to want to see the match. TNA’s last few ppvs have really reminded me of wcw in 2001 where they had Steiner vs Sid/Nash/Page and they’re really wasn’t build they just happened to be the top names in the company. They need to drop the AJ Dixie storyline and push AJ to the main event and the title at the ppv. Just my 2 cents.

  5. Chris Epic says:

I see Roode vs Angle happening with Bobby winning. It makes sense if he’s gonna be the most dominant champ, he’d be knocking off potentially the best guy in TNA.

  6. Ian says:

I think Angle winning and have Roode go over him makes the most sense to help elevate his title reign even more before a different face takes the title off of him.

    this looks good to me.

  7. Hipnosis says:

I’m glad AJ Styles Finally won. I’ve been tired of him being seemingly lost in the Shuffle
