~ Strikeforce light-heavyweight veteran Gegard Mousasi (32-3-2 MMA, 3-1-1 SF) is currently recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Mousasi had surgery on it a few weeks ago. He’s targeting a November Strikeforce return.
~ Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki 19 on Saturday was headlined by PRIDE/Strikeforce veteran Bob “The Beast” Sapp facing 5-time World Strongest Man winner Mariusz Pudzianowski (4-2) in the main event. Sapp was TKO’d (Punches) in just 41 seconds. It occured in Lodz, Poland. Sapp (11-12) has lost 6 straight bouts, 3 of which have already come this year, & is 1-9 in his last 10 bouts.

~ M-1 Global has stripped UFC veteran Vinny “Pezao” Magalhaes (9-5) of the organization’s Light-Heavyweight title. Magalhaes, 27, is a former ADCC and BJJ champion who’s won 5 straight bouts.
~ Chad Griggs (11-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is making the move to light heavyweight. A three-time Strikeforce vet known for his victories over Valentijn Overeem, Gianpiero Villante and Bobby Lashely, “The Grave Digger” made his UFC debut at April’s UFC 145 event & suffered a first-round loss to Travis Browne.
