Coachman says his WWE experience held him back

Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman did an interview with The Hutchinson News. In the piece, he talks about the jumping from WWE to ESPN:

“It really held me back for a while. There were certain people (ESPN executives) that were fearful of some negative backlash that they hired a guy best known for wrestling.

“It was frustrating. I knew where I should be, at and I knew where I wasn’t. But I also knew the reason.”

WWE should not hold you back, you were terrible in WWE anyway. announcing skills, acting skills, wrestling skills, just plain terrible. shouldve gone straight to ESPN in the first place, i wouldve liked you better then

coach was hilarious in his skits with the rock, I think the negative perception of pro rasslin held him back not so much wwe directly holding him back.

WWE made Coachman humiliate himslef on numerous occasions.

I’m glad that he has his dream job.

The man was better than Michale Cole and Todd Grisham on commentary. Glad the guy is happy doing what he loves.
