Wrestling By The Numbers: Matthew ‘Anarquia’ Barela

TNA Wrestling has announced that Mexican America member Matthew ‘Anarquia’ Barela has been released by the organization. The 38-year-old Los Angeles California native had his profile removed from the company’s official website back on March 27th and his release became public shortly after. Barela had spent the past year with TNA Wrestling and is a former 1-Time TNA Tag-Team Champion with his partner Hernandez. Late last year he was sent to TNA’s developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling where he spent 3-months training. He made a short return to TNA television in March before being released.

Matthew Barela made his professional wrestling debut back in 1999 after being trained by the Ohio Valley Wrestling staff. He worked for the organization off and on for the next 11-years before being signed by TNA Wrestling. While in OVW he wrestled under the names Ramon Loco, Low Rider and his real name. During his time with the organization he became a 2-Time OVW Champion and a 2-Time OVW Tag-Team Champion with partner Raul Loco.
