UFC on Fox viewership down over fifty percent

Last night’s UFC on FOX 3 only drew 2.25 million viewers, based on overnight numbers.

The 1/28 show on Fox delivered 4.7 million viewers.

    Because the star power for the fights aren’t big enough. The Dos Santos vs. Velasquez fight was ppv quality delivered for free. Yesterdays fight with Miller vs. Diaz, for fight fans is awesome, but if your new to the game, you wouldn’t understand.

    Honestly I didn’t even know it was on til I was flipping through channels. I don’t really follow MMA but I do watch Fox pretty often (NASCAR, some of their primetime shows, and a bunch of the stuff the local affiliate runs in syndication) and I don’t recall seeing one commerical for it over the past few weeks.

    I can’t say I’m surprised. Zuffa did little to promote this card, which is shocking since it was on Fox. I don’t think that Bader vs. Machida in August will draw the number they are looking for either.
