Report: Lesnar throws tirade after Extreme Rules reports that former UFC champion Brock Lesnar threw a tirade backstage after the Extreme Rules PPV event on Sunday night in Chicago.

According to the report, Lesnar apparently ripped apart his dressing room and went off on several WWE officials after getting upset over John Cena’s PPV-closing promo.

The original plan was for Cena to go over, but for Lesnar to do a brutal post match beat down to retain his heat.  Instead, Cena cut a promo after the match.

And this is why they should have not signed Lesnar. He thinks everything is about him…

  2. bah says:

@Sheila, the fact that he even agreed to job on his first return match back in the WWE indicates that he doesn’t have as much of an ego as you think.

  3. Adam says:

As much as it isn’t cool for Brock to lose his cool, it is equally not cool for Cena to cut a promo that he (in the promo) himself said was not cool. It’s just more of super Cena not doing the right thing. Brock held up his end and Cena didn’t. I’d be pissed to if I was told to lose, did what I was told and then found out it was for nothing.

  4. havok says:

the promo did ruin the match…for me at least. you dont take a beating like that then get on the mic saying how much you love wrestling

  5. Jono K says:

Why didnt they stick to the original plan? Lesnar was stupid for chucking a hissy, but the Cena promo didnt make much sense…

  6. BK says:

So much potential here, but I see it ending badly real fast…

  7. Hipnosis says:

This is why he’s doing this gimmick. He thinks everything is about him….

  8. rebel says:

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds too stupid to be true?

  9. Atlee Greene says:

Lesnar should have kept his cool but this was very unprofessional by Cena if true.

  10. Zack says:

He had enough heat from attacking Cena twice, brawling with him, and making all those demands at the contract signing without having to beat down Cena post match.

  11. theprincedann says:

I was never interested in seeing him back in the first place. Why bring him back? There are plenty of other comebacks that would have been better.. such as Stone Cold, Goldberg, HBK. But instead of focusing on returns, they should focus on debuts. Such as a huge Tyler Reks push :(

  12. Kevin says:

Lesnar is more trouble than he’s worth.

  13. cas says:

@rebel you’re not alone. lesnar is a hot head but to get upset for cena talking and not getting beat up??? makes no sense to rip up an entire dressing room. Cena probably broke kayfabe a bit, thinking his arm was demolished. that turned out to be not true and he’s ready for Mr. Excitement

  14. jack says:

I understand Lesners side of it, but throwing a tantrum is very childish. I just wonder if what happened on Raw with Triple H was a way to make Lesner happy. I hope not. If so then they might as well go ahead and call the show Raw starring Brock Lesner.

  15. The Rock says:

    Very unprofessional on Cena’s part.

Very understandable on Lesnar’s. After all, he agreed to put Cena over, when I’m 100% sure, he didn’t have to or wouldn’t have agreed to the contract in the first place.

  16. The Wordman says:

In their hurry to either bash Cena or Lesnar (but mostly Cena), everyone is forgetting that Vincent Kennedy McMahon has the FINAL say over everything that happens on his shows. It’s not like TNA or WCW where someone like a raging Scott Steiner was a loose cannon who said whatever he felt in his live promos. There were no strong authority figure at the head of those organization but there is one in the WWE.

In the WWE, nothing is changed on the fly unless VKM gives his okay. If Cena had gone off script on his own, don’t you think we’d have heard word from the WWE by now? Before the bashing gets out of hand, why not wait to get all the facts first?

We all know Vince likes to stick it to some of his workers publicly at the last minute. Remember Bret in Montreal? Maybe this was Vince’s way of getting back at Lesnar for leaving to play football and do MMA. It sure sounds like a Vince stunt. ‘Okay, Brock, glad you’re back but in the WWE I have the last word so I’m gonna stick it to you in the PPV.’

This is all just a guess. But judging from Vince and his track record, it sure seems to make more sense than Cena going off without permission.

  17. Jim says:

Wow. There are a whole lot of moron marks commenting here. Not to come off like that Adura person (or whatever the name is), but sheesh!

  18. Kerry says:

Lesnar should have stayed in the UFC.

  19. -J- says:

they should have at least cut the cameras and ended the ppv, not to say lesnar is unbeatable or should be perceived as such on wwe tv but you waste time building him up as this “ass kicker” machine and then you revert right back to letting super cena reign supreme.

They are gonna f*ck around with brock and he is going to really cause some damage to someone behind the scenes, i like watching brock he can be entertaining but he isn’t a level headed person.

  20. raven12516 says:

If the original plan was “for Lesnar to do a brutal post match beat down to retain his heat” it obviously didn’t happen. So this could be a work.

  21. AJ Starr says:

    For you idiots saying Cena is at fault;

Lesnar is a grown man. If HE didn’t go along with the plan after Cena’s promo, it’s his own fault. Cena would not have gotten on the mic without being TOLD TO DO IT.

Amazes me how thick and simple-minded some of you are.

I guess you lot also think Zimmerman was defending himself?

  22. Deathedge says:

It depends… if Cena politiked to have the ending changed, then it’s unprofessional on BOTH parts (throwing a hissy fit is not ok under any circumstances) but if it was WWE and Vinnie Mac’s call then it’s simply Lesner being unprofessional. I do have to hand Lesner some props though, atleast the match went as planned and Lesner didn’t decide to stiff Cena the whole match. It’s pretty clear Lesner must of been informed about the change of plans, and many a wrestler would of tried what they could to make Cena look stupid.

  23. Steveoreno says:

The promo was useless, but Brock is and always has been a giant baby. Throwing tantrums is not the way to act. I think both parties did something wrong in this case but Lesnar has to grow up and learn to be a man.

  24. Twist says:

Ive been to other sites likethis and the general thinkin i seen is this was a work for the dirtsheets, if anything brock would refuse to lose, not argue over the speech, if there was supposed to be a beatdown on cena afterthe match why didnt brock do it? Cause its all a work to pull one over on us.

  25. shew says:

AJ Starr with his I know better than everyone because I’m a 140lb ”indy wrestler” as usual.

Brock as stated before knows the business and how to do a storyline the right way as taught from Heyman . The man tries to protect his heat as well as kayfabe and people still bash him. Amazing. Brock doesn’t have heat with Cena in case you people didn’t read, his heat is with management and booking, and rightfully so.
