Tito Ortiz ponders future in the WWE in ESPN interview

In an interview with ESPN, Tito Ortiz stated:

“I may have another one – you never know. But, I’ve got a lot of options. I’ve seen Brock Lesnar go back to the WWE, that’s something I may entertain, do some ‘theatrical entertainment’ as they call it.”

I wouldn’t mind seeing what Tito could do. His over the top, primadona attitude would fit right in with the WWE, at least in the ring.

Ken Shamrock had a nice run in the WWE so why couldn’t Tito do it?

SO WWE is gonna become UFC’s TNA?

He doesn’t even know it’s called “sports entertainment”? Where did he even picked up this term, “theatrical entertainment”? That would be more appropriate for plays and musicals. You know, entertainment that takes place inside a theater?

i think he’s kinda burying wrestling with “theatrical entertainment”. like if the physical aspect is so weak. he should go to tna imo… can’t see him as a good look for wwe.

Wasn’t he already in TNA? I remember him being involved with them for a few months back when they still had the NWA Title.

Overall this could turn out 1 of 2 ways, he could be the next Ken Shamrock or he can be the next Tank Abbott.

That said I can see many MMA fighters turn to wrestling as their MMA careers wind down. They still get to preform infront of the crowd, they still get paid well, they still get to keep in shape but with less injury/pain.

Plus I gotta admit with every MMA guy that talks about coming to the WWE, with every day that MMA grows more popular it gives me hope (though a very small amount) that we may see the Lions Den Match make a return.

Shamrock said that the WWE had more injury and pain than MMA do to the length of the matches and “everybody getting theirs”

  7. Mlong says:

WWE is the new place washed up Ufc guys go ITS A HUGE CIRCLE
