Speculation on The Undertaker’s future

The Wrestling Observer reports that the talk backstage at Wrestlemania 28 in Miamia was how great The Undertaker looked in the ring, and despite under going two surgeries last year, many believe that The Undertaker has several more matches left in him. It is almost certain at this time that Undertaker will wrestle at Wrestlemania 29.

Is he going to be a Wrestlemania only “attraction” now?

  2. Kerry says:

The man has sacrificed his health more than most wrestlers still wrestling today. Isn’t it time to retire & rest (in peace)?

  3. Joan B. from S.C. says:

Just think. If Taker only wrestles one match a year how many more Manias he could be a part of.

  4. Atlee Greene says:

No complaints here. He has paid his dues twice over. Wrestling more than once a year would take away from the mystique of his Wrestlemania matches.

  5. Matt says:

I agree that some guys earn to work “part time.” That earned that a long time ago and still is one of the most popular wrestlers. I hope he can make it to 25-0 or beyond.

  6. Joe says:

This is great news. I’d love to still see a CM Punk vs Taker match. Even a Taker vs Miz match.

  7. dave says:

Taker is THE Mania attraction. A guaranteed blockbuster each year but how about he faces some young blood now and give them a 30 minute ride to hell and back? Would build guys and let someone like Miz or Swagger try and earn respect.

  8. Kyle Christie says:

Taker vs Punk has happened alot in 2009 even in Hell In A Cell.

  9. Hipnosis says:

“7 more matches” lol is that 7 more Mania’s or 4 month run? XD

  10. Kyle Christie says:

@Hipnosis it said several not 7.

  11. kidd-cage says:

the plan is Undertaker vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 29.

  12. Eric says:

I’be been saying it for years.. as long as he goes 22-0 he can retire in my book. WrestleMania 30 in the Garden, win and retire.

  13. pat says:

Wrestlemania 30 is in Dallas not the garden. That’s why there advertising 29 as NY/NJ

  14. Ronald B says:

We want Taker in Survivor Series where he started.

  15. N. Gaijin says:

A really good Taker match once a year with a significant build to it?

    I can live with that.

I mean, as long as he’s able to continue to put on quality performances every year and get the very best out of whoever he’s facing, I don’t really know why this would bother people so much. They’ve done it for the past 3 (4?) years now, why not continue with it since it’s such a success? There are definitely still guys out there who could put on a good match with a well-rested, near 100% Taker. He’ll hang it up when he knows it’s time, I’m sure.

  16. dave says:

And hey Sting may be available on one of the next few Mania’s!
