Wrestling By The Numbers: Scott ‘Steiner’ Rechsteiner

TNA Wrestling has announced it has parted ways with veteran performer Scott ‘Steiner’ Rechsteiner. The 49-year-old Bay City Michigan native had spent just over 5-years with the organization over two different runs. His first stint with TNA Wrestling was from March of 2006 until February of 2010. During this time period Steiner was used by the company as both a main event talent and as a tag-team competitor. He even re-united with his brother Rick Steiner on occasion. In his most recent stint with TNA Wrestling that started in January of 2011 he was mostly used as a tag-team competitor.

Scott Steiner’s 26-year in-ring career first started back in 1986 after he received training from Dr. Jerry Graham Jr. and The Sheik. Over his legendary career he has spent time in almost all the major organizations. He spent a year in the late 1980’s working for Continental Championship Wrestling. He was employed by Jim Crockett Promotions / World Championship Wrestling for close to a decade going over two runs with the organization. He had two stints with World Wrestling Entertainment covering a 4-year period. He also had extended runs with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, World Wrestling All-Stars and the World Wrestling Council. 1. Daniel says:

I’m pretty sure the 19 matches on WWE Superstars is a mistake. Maybe they meant Velocity?

  2. Echo says:

@Daniel Superstars also ran during the 90s, that’s probably what it’s referring to.
