What TNA wanted to allow Ric Flair to do the WWE HOF

According to Dave Meltzer, TNA requested two things in exchange for allowing Ric Flair to appear at last night’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

(1) to be mentioned at the event, which apparently didn’t happen

(2) a WWE wrestler would be brought to the TNA studios to be a talking head for a future DVD release

bahahahaha true or not, that is funny as hell.

“PLEEEAAASE mention us and PLEEEEAAASE let us use one of your guys to bump DVD sales.”

What needs to happen now is during a match for King to randomly say “TNA sucks” and WWE sends over Hornswoggle for the DVD.

To the second condition, if PUnk ever pissed off the big heads in WWE he could be sent to TNA for a DVD as punishment, we all know how much he hated TNA lol

  4. yomama says:

looooooooooooooool! man tna really does think they’re at wwe’s level.

  5. Fisha695 says:

Why would TNA want somebody to come do their DVDs when they no longer have a deal with anybody to produce DVDs?

  6. ironFNmaiden says:

Now to be fair, this is not something out of the blue, back in the day Vince sr could call up Eddie in Florida and say “I need so and so…..i’ll give you this other guy for an extra week or so no charge” ect…….so they’re asking for a leg up isn’t terrible….but it still won’t happen lol >.<

    is a aprils fools joke?

  8. -J- says:

    that must be fake…omfg.

  9. Robert says:

so TNA should have given them Ric Flair for free you say? just because they are the smaller company?

I think this because it doesn’t matter what TNA would have asked, you would have found something to mock or to complain.. even if it was just money.

Look. WWE marks are “marking out”. What a shock.

  11. -J- says:

look TNA marks are b*tching…what a shock.

  12. MoNo says:

The kids promotion’s marks should go watched their “Entertania” show & mind their own business.

  13. Joe says:

How about TNA lets the WWE use Flair and in a few year WWE can buy TNA and make them slightly more relevant. Everyone wins.

  14. RaveN says:

Meltzer? does anyone still believe his nonesense? Dixie was a generous woman but the spoiled WWE marks don’t deserve that.

  15. Fisha695 says:

Here is why TNA shouldn’t have asked for anything. “The good of the business”, this moment shouldn’t have been about promotions it should’ve been about about the fans, however TNA if this story is true have tried to make it about themselves and not the fans.

That said I would hope that WWE would allow TNA to air footage this week on Impact of Flairs induction speech, though that’s not gonna happen I fully expect atleast a backstage promo from Flair where he talks about it. Say what you want about TNA but the one thing they have always done right was acknowledge that other wrestling companies exist and acknowledge that the wrestlers have a history before they came to TNA.

  16. Rex Anderson says:

Kids this is the reason why we tell you to say no to drugs. Making comments such as TNA is the common cause of drug affiliiation, and extreme stupidty where the brain doesn’t seem to want to agree with thoughts.
