neither of the dudes i wanted to see in the final.

  2. Pat says:

Owen Hart was better suited to be a secondary-level champion like Intercontinental. Roddy Piper would have been very credible as a world champion. I could have pictured him as a heel WWF Champion in the mid-1980s with Hogan chasing him for the title. Owen never felt like he truly belonged in the main event-level. He was a better fit in the Intercontinental and Tag Team scene.

  3. Mike says:

In Owens deffence he had a long career ahead of him and could have been eventually molded into a credible champion. Remember there was a time when Edge was seen in the same light when part of Edge and Christian. also the likes of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit come to mind along with countless others who were only seen as second level talent.

Perfectly fine with both, everyone has an opinion, I for one never bought into Shawn Michaels as a credible champion. To me, all of the final four reached the top of the wrestling world, now I can’t base my votes on anything but personal favourites, so this one’s for Owen.

  5. Justin says:

what a shocker… the 2 most popular advance to the finals. no problem with piper being there, but, owen is simply everyone feeling sorry for a tragic loss & speculating that he would have been this or that. there were better choices to get that far.

  6. Fahim Abrar says:

All deserve this…but, Piper does it the most!

No disrespect to others….just my humble opinion!

  7. Doc Emmett Brown says:

i wanted arn anderson, but i’m fine with owen.

    Roddy Piper belongs.

  9. Axel says:

Both of these performers were great in their own ways. piper traded barbs with some of the greatest men of his time, whilst Owen was a gateway to the main event as many have said. Owen would have had a career much like Edge has had where you never saw him as a main event caliber star. Back when we had hardys vs. Dudleyz vs. Edge and Christian, did you honestly think Edge would ever win a main event World Championship match at mania? No. People would say that of Owen as well, but I view him in the same light, a gateway star who eventually would have gotten his dues and title reigns had he stayed alive. Both men are well deserving of this award, so I wont complain no matter the winner, but Owen gets it in my book if have to pick just one.
