In 1991, WCW WrestleWar, held in Phoenix, Arizona, was the first WCW PPV since it’s split from the NWA and the introduction of its own titles

– The Junkyard Dog, Ricky Morton & Tommy Rich defeat The State Patrol (Lt James Earl Wright & Sgt Buddy Lee Parker) & Big Cat to retain the WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Titles
– Terrence Taylor defeats Tom Zenk in a No-DQ Match
– Lex Luger defeats Dan Spivey to retain the WCW United States Title
– The Freebirds (Jimmy Garvin & Michael Hayes) defeat Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) to win the WCW World Tag Team Titles
– The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham & Sid Vicious) & Larry Zbyszko defeat Sting, Brian Pillman & The Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott) in a War Games Match

Title Changes

1992 – Koko B Ware defeats Kamala to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title

1995 – Dan Severn defeats Chris Candido to win the NWA World Title. His reign would last over 4 years, a feat rarely heard of in modern times

2002 – Toshiaki Kawada defeats Keiji Mutoh to win the AJPW Triple Crown Title

2007 – The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark) defeat Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal to win the ROH Tag Team Titles

2011 – Sting defeats Jeff Hardy to win the TNA World Title
