TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter confirmed on her twitter page this week that TNA’s Head Of Creative Writing Vince Russo has parted ways with the company. The 41-year-old New York City New York native had spent had a combined 8-years of service with the organization covering two stints from 2002-2004 and from 2006 to present. Russo is one of the most controversial figures in professional wrestling history and has a top notch resume including his work as the Head Of Creative Writing while apart of both WWE and WCW. He was trained in the ring by WWE Hall Of Famer Johnny Rodz.

Russo worked a combined 7-years for the WWE during two stints with the organization. His first and most successful run with the WWE was from 1992-1999, he later had a brief stint with the company in 2002. After leaving the WWE he signed along with fellow writer Ed Ferrera with WCW where he remained from 1999-2000. On the back cover of his own book entitled ‘Rope Opera’, Russo is described as ‘the man who saved Vince McMahon’s WWE and the man who destroyed WCW’.
