Wrestling icon, and the newest inductee into the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame, Stan “The Lariat” Hansen joined Steve Gerweck for a rare interview, talking about his legendary career in professional wrestling. Hansen plugs his book “The Last Outlaw” (which is available directly from Crowbar Press), reflects on his days in Verne Gagne’s AWA and being stripped of the title in 1986, working for Giant Baba and Antoni Inoki in the heydays of All Japan and New Japan pro wrestling, working on Hulk Hogan’s “No Holds Barred” and his brief stint in World Championship Wrestling. Hansen talks the early days, training with the funks, working with Bruiser Brody, identifies his favorite tag team partner, why he enjoyed working in Japan, and much in this forty nine minute interview.

    A true outlaw a man that put fear in kid’s and had the little kid’s hiding behind there dad’s and had grow men fearing that The “Lariat” He brought that line from way behind and throwed it so hard that you thought that man head will be roll out the ring.

    one move had grown men fearing for their life’s when Stan came to the ring you saw the man in the other corner shaking before he enter the ring.

    AWA is the place where I thought he made a huge impact with the “Lariat” and a cowbell ringing man that love that spit.
