  1. Kerry says:

Spoken like a true pothead, X-Pac.

  2. Nathan Milliard says:

Sean has thot one right. The IOC doesn’t even condsider it a band substance, but they do ask that athletes do not take it during qualification & during the games themselves.

  3. Joey says:

Vintage Waltman. Anyway, he has a point. I’m straight-edge but believe people can do whatever the fuck they wanna do, and I know marijuana is far less damaging than beer… or even soda. Unless he’s toking before a match, it isn’t going to harm him physically and doesn’t cause addictions like harder drugs. The only reason he would be suspended is to project the positive image for the younger viewers. If he were deep like Matt Hardy, then you have a case but this really isn’t all that big.

  4. Big L says:

The bottom line is that it is against the law to use marijuana except for a few medical reasons. With all the scrutiny the WWE gets for any little thing, they must crack down on pot use as much as anything else, especially when Linda McMahon may try for elected office again.

  5. E says:

^i think marijuana might be a tad worse than soda?

  6. Captain Ass says:

Marijuana IMPAIRS JUDGEMENT. It is DANGEROUS, no matter how little the dosage is. That’s why it’s not legalized (except for medical reasons) and if a wrestler is using it then he/she should definitely be suspended. Whether it’s a plant or not is not of concern, it’s the effect it has on someone’s system. Bravo WWE, if this is the reason why Evan was suspended to begin with.

  7. Joey says:

@E When you drink soda with a meal, your body takes the soda first. Since that happens, the body focuses on the simple sugars without letting the mind know your full, so high fructose corn syrup can cause obesity and if you don’t get enough water, sugars could gather and create kidney stones. The effects of thc are mostly shortterm. I don’t use the stuff, but I understand why I don’t

  8. Joey says:

-Cont. Doctors recommend avoiding sodas, but can prescribe marijuana… all you need to know

  9. Dave K says:

With all that’s happened with drugs in the recent WWE past, they can’t let illegal behavior like this slide. Especially with Linda running for political office again. Plus, regardless of how minor some view it, it does impair and any impairment in the ring can put the wrestler and their opponent in serious danger (messed up moves, etc.)

  10. Rusty Shackleford says:

Honestly this makes total sense. I’m not going to get into the legality of marijuana, but if you’re doing risky spots with a guy in the ring, wouldn’t you want him to be clean and sober? I sure as hell wouldn’t trust a guy to powerbomb me if he wasn’t clean. It’s a safety and liability issue first and foremost.

  11. up in smoke says:

    A. Whether or not marijuana SHOULD BE illegal, it IS illegal. Between that, its impairing effects, and setting a bad example for the kids, as much as I like and will miss Evan Bourne the suspension is justified.

    B. And that’s how you know you’re getting close to hitting bottom…you’re being defended by Sean Waltman.

  12. Wellness Policy says:

WWE doesn’t suspend talent for alcohol or marijuana violations. They only fine them, the Wellness Policy is publicly available on WWE’s corporate website.

  13. Rusty Shackleford says:

@wellness policy: yes but apparently they suspend stars for synthetic marijuana (spice). That’s what he was rumored to have been suspended for last time.

  14. -J- says:

Who says it was weed…could be pain killers or some form of steroids.

  15. matt says:

so if everyone is saying weed impairs you, then what about beer….that messes you up pretty bad no matter what the dosage. and how about all the guys who have been caught drunk driving and havent been disciplined…what about the alcohol hmmmm?
