WWE pulls a PPV from the 2012 schedule

According to Dave Meltzer, one of WWE’s two scheduled PPVs in October will be axed. The tentative schedule lists:

10/7 Hell in A Cell
10/28 Vengeance

The plan is for WWE to promote twelve pay-per-views this year.

  1. Brett says:

Oh please let it be Hell in a Cell. Hell in a Cell should only be used to settle rivalries, not as a yearly gimmick pay-per-view.

  2. SDBland says:

Drop to 9 with 6 weeks of build up they will sell more and have a higher quality product.

  3. Cody says:

Although more hardcore fans would want Hell in a Cell, it probably sells more than Vengeance, so Vengeance will probably be axed.

  4. Eric says:

Agreed. If they have it as a gimmick pay per view every year, it doesn’t make it seem as such a huge match like it used to be.

  5. Rusty Shackleford says:

I’m hearing rumors that it will be Vengeance that goes. In the minds of WWE brass, that makes sense because Vengeance did so poorly as far as buys go. The fact that the card sucked is irrelevant- its totally the name of the PPV that’s bad…

  6. dave says:

I’m with SDBland. Have Rumble then NWO then Mania then Backlash then a July PPV then Summerslam then Vengeance then Survivor Series then TLC to end the year

  7. I’m sure the talent would be psyched with there being less PPV checks available…

  8. dave says:

I’m sure the talent earn enough money anyway.

  9. eddie says:

If this was TNA everyone would be saying this is a sign the end

  10. Geoff says:

Thank fack, hope its HIAC, worst ppv of the year twice in a row, sick of it being over utilised..

  11. _I\/I_ says:

    WWE is dying slowly :(
