Legendary Japanese wrestler Ueda passes away

The Wrestling Observer reports that legendary Japanese wrestler Umanosuke Ueda passed away earlier today at age 71. Ueda, who worked in the United States as Mr. Ito, is best known as the manager and tag team partner of Tiger Jeet Singh. He also worked as a top heel in Japan during the 1970s and 1980s in New Japan and All Japan with Antonio Inoki, Hulk Hogan, Stan Hansen, The Funk Brothers, Giant Baba, Jumbo Tsurtua, Genichiro Tenryu and Riki Choshu.
