Jim Ross shares his thoughts on WWE’s developmental program

Jim Ross wrote a new blog at which included notes on his recent trip to the FCW developmental program in Tampa. Among his
observations he feels that often prospects are plucked from the garden too soon. “The process is a long one and can take years to achieve much to the chagrin of some,” said Ross. “Back in the day many wrestlers worked in territories for years before making it to WWE so why should
today be any different? I realize that times have changed but calling a wrestler up to the main roster too soon is the kiss of death more often than not it seems. The athletes that come from organizations such as ROH have a little faster track to travel or so it seems.”

I agree. 90% of the Nexus and NXT guys fit this category.

  2. chris says:

Daniel, 75% of the entire roster fits that category. 95% of the women’s division (no, I won’t call them divas…don’t which to crap on the legacy of Fabulous Moolah) fits that descritption. But the Bellas, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox in a match together, and you’d have an epic botch fest.

first time i disagree with jim ross. I think its just the oppisite. Why should wrestlers wait 10 to 15 years in order to go the wwe?
