Launch date for WWE’s network

The Sports Business Daily website is quoting WWE saying that the upcoming WWE Network is planned to launch on April 1, 2012 – on the same date as WrestleMania XXVIII – and the company told cable and satellite operators that it is expecting to reach 40 million homes upon start. The sports website adds that most of the WWE pay-per-views will now be moving to the Network and WWE is hoping to expanded its programming by airing some professional team sports. Launching their biggest venture in years on the same day as WrestleMania – when everyone will be operating at max speed -may be considered nuts but rumors are that WrestleMania will be airing on the WWE Network for free to those who subscribe while still available on pay-per-view to those who don’t have it.

Theres so many college sports conferences that dont have their own television deals…I can actually see the WWE network airing W.A.C. or M.A.C. football or basketball games.
