YouTube announces WWE as content partner

WWE was announced by YouTube as one of its major partners for the upcoming original YouTube channels that is set to be live in early 2012. “They’ll be available to you on any internet-connected device, anywhere in the world, with all the interactivity and social features of YouTube built right in,” said a company press release. WWE joins channels created by well-known personalities and content producers from the TV, film, music, news, and sports. It’s not known what kind of content WWE will make available on YouTube but this will be a major push by the Google-owned company to have a lock on the majority of streaming video online.
