In 1989, NWA Halloween Havoc was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was promoted by WCW under the NWA banner

– The Freebirds (Jimmy Garvin & Michael Hayes) defeat The Dynamic Dudes (Shane Douglas & Johnny Ace) to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles
– Lex Luger defeats Brian Pillman to retain the NWA United States Title
– Ric Flair & Sting defeat The Great Muta & Terry Funk with Bruno Sammartino as special guest referee in a Thunderdome Match

In 2007, WWE Cyber Sunday, held in Washington DC, was the WWE’s 4th interactive PPV. Fans voted on certain aspects of the matches, with the results announced live on the show

– CM Punk defeats The Miz to retain the ECW Title. The fans voted for Punk’s opponent
– Kane defeats MVP to win the WWE United States Title. The fans voted for MVP’s opponent
– Shawn Michaels defeats Randy Orton by DQ (Orton retains the WWE Title). The fans voted for Orton’s opponent
– Batista defeats The Undertaker with Steve Austin as special guest referee to retain the World Heavyweight Title. The fans voted for the referee

Title Changes

1975 – Karl Kox defeats Dick Murdoch to win the TSW North American Title

1995 – Mikey Whipwreck defeats The Sandman in a Ladder Match to win the ECW World Title. Also, 2 Cold Scorpio & The Sandman defeat The Public Enemy (Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge) to win the ECW Tag Team Titles

2000 – Geinichiro Tenryu defeats Toshiaki Kawada in the final of a tournament to win the vacant AJPW Triple Crown Title

2005 – Takeshi Morishima & Mohammed Yone defeat Naomichi Marufuji & Minoru Suzuki to win the GHC Tag Team Titles

    kane never won the us title in the match here is the proof:

    Kane defeated WWE U.S. Champion MVP via countout – MVP retains the U.S. Title. The match started with MVP avoiding Kane early on. Kane sent MVP into the ring post and started working on his ribs. Kane continued to work on his ribs with numerous punches, knees and kicks. The finish saw MVP simply roll out and fall to the floor and accept the countout finish
