A video package on James Storm kicks off Impact Wrestling and features him defeating Kurt Angle for the TNA World Championship last week. Old footage of Storm wrestling is aired as Storm says the feeling is unreal for him and says he will punch the person that pinches him.

New theme music for Storm hits as the new TNA World Champion comes down to the ring. Storm gets on the microphone and talks about how people said he wouldn’t make it in this business and dedicates his victory to his late father. Storm then thanks the fans for standing behind him before calling Fortune down to the ring.

AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and Kazarian make their way to the ring and Storm tells Roode that he was screwed over at Bound for Glory and offers to give him the first shot at the title. The two shake on it as Samoa Joe’s music interrupts them. Joe comes down to the ring and says he used to be part of their little group and congratulates Storm, but says he still sees four scumbags in the ring.

Joe says Storm is playing favorites by handing his buddies title shots and wants Storm to give him a shot. Storm tells Joe that he already has his opportunity and that window closed. Sting’s music then hits as he walks out to the stage and says he is here to settle disputes. Sting says there will be a match against Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode with the winner going on to face Storm next week at Macon, GA, for the TNA World Championship.

The announce team runs down tonight’s card where Bully Ray will face Jeff Hardy and Gail Kim will go up against Tara. Christopher Daniels is backstage and says he didn’t quit at Bound for Glory and says AJ Styles played audio of him saying “I quit.” Daniels says Styles can’t beat him, and neither can “Bob” Van Dam.

Match 1: Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam
The match starts and the two trade a few quick near falls in the opening moments. AJ Styles comes out and joins the announce team as Daniels takes control of the match with a drop toe hold that sends RVD into the turnbuckle. Daniels slams RVD to the mat but RVD rolls out of the way of a BME and takes Daniels down with a spin kick. RVD continues on the attack with a series of kicks and dives out of the ring and takes Daniels out on the floor. RVD rolls Daniels back into the ring and he goes for the Frog Splash but Daniels rolls out of the way and out to the floor. RVD takes out Daniels and sets him up on the guard railing and hits him with a leg drop. Daniels then crawls towards the ring and grabs a toolbox and nails RVD and the referee calls for the bell. Daniels then grabs a screwdriver from the toolbox, but Styles runs down and chases him away.

We return from the break to see the four making their way to the ring and make Traci hold the ring ropes open for them. Bischoff calls Garrett down to the ring and tells his son that he is willing to forgive being hit between the eyes last week, however, but he didn’t raise him to fail when he needed him the most.
