Planned ending changed for Bound for Glory main event is reporting that Bobby Roode was supposed to win the main
event of Bound For Glory yesterday on pay-per-view and become the new TNA
World Heavyweight champion however Hulk Hogan used his influence to have the
decision changed. Hogan, according to the website, wanted Angle over on the
basis that Roode – a seven year loyal TNA Superstar – was still “not ready”
to carry the title. The decision was then reversed to keep the title on Kurt
Angle, who was suffering from groin injuries and was in bad shape after
their match. Hogan keeps making enemies in the TNA locker room especially
with those who helped built TNA after recently he blasted AJ Styles for
missing an appearance apparently not knowing that Styles wasn’t there after
he had to go back home following the death of a family member.

Oh wow, TNA made a bad choice in booking due to the influence of Hulk Hogan… I never would have guessed.

  2. Kyle Christie says:

So thats what that tweet from AJ was about. :-O

Wow hogan holdn peeps bak rude an tna original can’t even catch a break smh there gonna letum get old b4 he hold that title

  7. AJ Starr says:

    I’m with Hogan.

    Roode IS NOT READY.

Seriously… play the angle out more. Have Roode keep coming up short, gain the fan’s respect and sympathy.

Roode has been singles for a month, after being in a tag team for 3 years… NO WAY should he have won the belt last night!

Love Roode and all, always been a favorite of mine since Team Canada, but him winning the belt last night would have been a horrible idea.

  8. matt says:

hogan is a scumbag. 7 years roode has been in tna. the guy has the tools to be a huge star, but hogan always has to have his way. he only cares about himself

  9. Criss Brian says:

I don’t like the way Hogan makes shots, but Rood isn’t ready, or at least the storyline wasn’t. There wasn’t a good enough translation for Roode. A month or two more and if done right, it’ll be perfect!

  10. Sean B says:

    @ rich nyce: What?

Maybe roode needs a few more DUI’s and THEN he’ll be ready. But seriously, this is one of the things that killed wcw

  11. Nick says:

I too think that hot-shoting Roode to the title yesterday might have been too much too soon. That being said, that was a terrible ending for a pay-per-view. If he wasn’t going to go over then Hogan vs Sting should have ended the show.

  12. Kerry says:

Roode was ready to be a world champion when he was still a member of Team Canada, then when they broke up & he became Robert Roode. He’s been ready for six years.

  13. RJ Ace says:

I have mixed feelings. I don’t really have an issue with Angle retaining because Angle is still a world class wrestler and can still deliver on the big stage. I could see the anger if maybe Sting retained over Roode because he can’t go more than 10 minutes without blowing up. That being said, the ending sucked. It fell flat with the live crowd and neither guy really gained anything from it. I also think Hogan publicly saying Roode wasn’t ready a few days before the ppv is bad business amd really stupid on Hogan’s part. Even if he feels that way, he should have been promoting the match as a world class showdown between 2 big time stars. He was basically telling people not to order the show. I don’t remember Triple H or Randy Orton saying in mainstream interviews that The Miz didn’t deserve to main event vs Cena at Wrestlemania.

  14. deathedge says:

As far as Hogan is concerned, Bobby will never be ready to hold the title. You know it, I know it, and anyone who doesn’t is in denial.

Face it, Hogan’s a jerk and a push wrecker.

  15. Drew says:

I feel really sorry for Bobby. He has worked hard to earn his spot.

Watch TNA give the belt to Crimson instead.

  16. Andy says:

Another two years of this by the way. Hogan and Bischoff screwing younger talent to keep themselves in the limelight. The only reason Hogan wanted that booking changed was to make sure his match was the highlight of that PPV and not Roode winning the title. Now the 2-3 months of build, the only decent thing TNA have done this year, for Roode to win at BFG has been spunked down the drain.

  17. Robb says:

Impact Wrestling– Where Hulk Hogan Matters.

    Impact Wrestling = WCW 2.0

  18. Shaggy says:

Hogan, take your vitamins and STAY AT HOME! Let TNA grow like it once was!

    Take that, Brotha!

Don’t create a WWE / WCW in TNA! TNA is TNA! TNA is NOT HOGAN!

  19. bob holly says:

Letting your “biggest match” on your “biggest event” be decided by Hogan is a terrible idea.

  20. Hipnosis says:

**someone dies** AJ: “Sorry can’t make it….gotta be there for The Family” Hogan: “That’s it brother!! WE CAN’T COUNT ON YOU!! YOUR SELFISH!! YOU DON’T DESERVE THE BELT!!” what a HEEL
