Q: When did you become a wrestling fan and how?

DH: I was around the age of 4 or 5 when I was first introduced to pro wrestling.

Q: Where did you grow up?

DH: I grew up in Saugus, Massachusetts.

Q: Who were your favorite wrestlers growing up?

DH: Hulk Hogan, of course, as well as Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels & Owen Hart to name a few.

Q: Did you attend wrestling shows when you were a kid?

DH :Yes! I used to attend a lot of NWA New England shows with my brother-in-law same with when WWE was at the Cape Cod Melody tent during the summer.

Q: What is your favorite wrestling match?

DH:I have so many but one of my true favorites was Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect at Summerslam for the I.C. title. They wrestled such a great match!

Q: First impressions of the business when you were training?

DH: I knew it was tough but I never knew how much truly went into a match or a show.

Q: How has life been on the Independent Scene?

DH: It’s been going well, I’ve been at it for 5 years, well, more like 4 years because in 2010 I was out with a broken ankle. I’ve taken some time off in 2011 due to back problem, but I’m excited to be returning.

DH: Well I would say New England Wrestling Hall of Famer, Tony Roy. (Derek also worked for Tony Atlas’ promotion in Maine.)

DH: Not completely, because there are some promotions that are all about kayfabe but there’s a lot that has killed it.

Q: Any TV/Media appearances:

DH: No … hopefully soon!

Q: What are your future plans?

DH: My plans are to train like crazy. This year, I also plan to start MMA training next year, so I will add that training to my wrestling as well.  I will make 2012 my year to truly shine!

Q: When and where was your last match and what was the result?

DH: My last match was back in April of this year against “Black Lotus” Matt Ledge in Malden for VCW where I won.

Q: Where can we see you next?

DH: Well, I will be wrestling at NWW Xtrme Oct 1st & NWA On Fire Oct 8th . (ECHO Wrestling TV Taping 11/6)
