Mark Henry winning the world title, best moment of the night!

  2. Attitude Era 12 says:

Cluster of a finish, shame a little bit dissapointed with this ppv

  3. Ian says:

Not surprised that cena regained the title since the only reason they gave it to Del Rios in the first place was because they were going to Mexico on tour.

    Surprised at Henry’s win.

Disappointed that more titles didn’t change hands (Divas, IC, US) at least one should have changed.

  4. James says:

    Two surprises tonight for me.

One: Mark Henry finally got something he deserved.

Two: I watched a women’s wrestling match for the first time in years.

  5. -Jay- says:

    Congrats Henry, that’s about it.

  6. T says:

oh hooray old man Nash is back…

  7. Sonia says:

Henry winning good booking. Cena winning terrible. The “fired” Nash returning to screw Punk lame. Punk is the best thing going in wrestling. Hope henry keeps the title for a long reign.

  8. Matthew says:

I’m liking it. This will fuel the rivalry and hatred between H and Punk. I’m Hoping a team Punk vs team HHH at survivor series.
Happy for Mark Henry, good for him.

  9. chris says:

wow, cena wins on ppv agaibn, what a shock.

And this is why you can now see empty seats when you watch Raw.

  10. Joshua Shaver says:

WWE Night of Champions was the basic WWE PPV with a few twists. The matches worth mentioning are: Orton vs. Henry, Phoenix vs. Kelly, Cena vs. Del Rio, and Triple H vs. CM Punk

These matches made the night in my eyes. I believe Mark Henry has a limited title reing that lasts two weeks. I can see the match at the next ppv being…..Sheamus vs. Christian vs. Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry(C) in a fatal Four Way Hell in a Cell Match for the World Heavyweight Title. I believe Orton finally defeats Henry.

Beth and Kelly gave the best divas match in years. I love Kelly Kelly new moves she display tonight.

As far as the WWE Title Match, I always said that if the WWE doesn’t like a way a superstar carries themselves with one the major titles. Their title run will be short and sweet. I view Alberto Del Rio’s title reign as the WWE higher-ups decision to take the title off Del Rio to allow for another superstar to recieve a push.

Which leads to CM Punk and Triple H, I view the ending as the climax in a storyline that promotes the continuation of the Punk-Triple H fued. Triple H will sent Miz and Truth to smackdown. Triple H wil give CM Punk a wwe title match at the next ppv…..CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena(C) in a hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Title

  11. JD Storm says:

if this were 10 years ago, i’d be pissed about Mark Henry winning a major world title. currently, i can actually see him as a believeable champion.

  12. gdogg says:

great ppv but john cena winning the title ughh del rio just won it nd cody rhodes for world heavyweight champ

  13. Shacoria J. says:

Mark Henry as champ!!!!!! Didn’t think it would ever happen i’m happy it did. Don’t worry Beth i’m sure you will get the title off airhead k2 soon enough.

  14. ED says:

Tag title match I would have had Miz & R-Truth win the gold but them helping Punk was a good idea.
IC title match Dibiase should have won cleanly. If dusty was not keeping Ted Jr, down he would have own that is why his push died. Cody still sucks, worst guy on the mic in the WWE should he trying to take a dump everytime he speaks. Dusty hates Ted sr & is making jr pay for it.
4 way Morrison should have won his push died when he became whipped by Melina that’s why Mcintrye is not longer getting a push VKM thinks they are grily men & he does not respect them.
Phoenix, should have won, how Kelley still has it is beyond stupid.
ADR vs. cena ADR should have retained. How does Cena with the gold keep the wwe interesting?
Punk should have won with Mason Ryan’s help it would have been a great way to get him over as face. I knew Nash would be involved. I loved seeing miz & truth attacking HHH. They should be faces now. But they will not turn them face.
Henry won for being a great employee for 15 years just like Kane did loyalty. I hope they don’t rip him off by having Big Show/Kane cost him his gold or worse yet get stripped of the gold because of Hnery’s bad behavior towards the sound stage guy or something else which would be stupid.

  15. Guled says:

it’s funny because when mark henry won the title, my uncle yelled “Finally, some black supremacy will run wild on the wwe.” Nonetheless, henry finally got a world championship on his resume. Congrats

  16. Joe says:

Congratulations 2 the big man of the night: Mark Henry 4 winning the WHC from Orton. Hope he has a lengthy title run. If he does, I see Henry holding on 2 this title at least till Royal Rumble against either Sheamus or a returning Big Show. If he keeps it till WrestleMania, D. Bryan will really have a challenge.

  17. Yeah says:

What a joke of a company!

  18. xXGodRealmXx says:

i can see some fines being dealt out to both punk and trips

  19. Mackdeezy says:

The words ” testicle” and “balls” were used

Not very PG if you ask me, not ver…. Aww hell with it, these little jimmys don’t know what it was like to see wrestling in it’s RAW form, when The Rock would revolutionize the world by laying the SMACKDOWN! on a jabroni. Who gives a crap about PG, when I was 10 I saw a beer swelling finger gesturing foulmouthed SOB, I saw a man who felt no pain and laid people to rest 6 feet under, I saw a similar man with a mask, crimson suit burn stuff till it was just as scarred as he was, I saw a blonde and a redhead actually try to beat each other up in a REAL catfight that didn’t involve the ever so mundane hair pulling and b*tch slapping, I saw chairs and tables broken, ambulances being hijacked for revenge and I saw a man sitting at the helm of this empire having his family involved in his sick quests to become a billionaire by controlling and manipulating each and every one of these mad men, only to be foiled time and time again by the aforementioned men and his new son in law. and I turned out ok, I pay taxes and go to work like everybody else. The claim that this programming that is now endangered is NOT family entertainment is pure bs. Families gather round to watch movies with arguably more violence, the key is knowing when to censor. Like I said, we all turned out ok, did we not? We watched this programming and we’re all contributing to society like everybody else. So why oh why does a “billionaire’s” wife trying to run the country somehow mean this stuff has to be toned down? Anybody else remember her kids beating her up? Or how about when she got revenge on her adulterous husband? People don’t forget that crap. And I get what people are saying about advertisers money and crap, but when has that ever been a problem? No one wants to think about febreeze when watching Wrestling, that’s why we all go to the bathroom during commercials. Sadly it seems the bathroom breaks are more frequent with today’s wrestling. Kids have a chance with CM Punk and other big names, they’ve just been force fed too much Vitamin Cena. I’m not saying it has to be 100% attitude era, but spice up the damn product, don’t forget the WRESTLING aspect of a WRESTLING show.

  20. Icon says:

fines? why? they didn’t do any headshots with the chair which is why ppl get fined. that was a pretty subdued no dq match honestly.

  21. Dinesh says:

I think ‘undertaker’ will return & face ‘mark henry’ at hell in a cell ppv.because there is no chance of hell in a cell without ‘undertaker’

  22. Bumbolee says:

Couldn’t care less about Mark Henry having the title. He is a big man with one move and is just slightly better than Khali moving around the ring.

Love the Cena haters that just aren’t going to give the guy any credit. Cena ALONE got an entirely new generation interested in the WWE and the wrestling business and, IMO, I think he deserves a ton of credit. Granted, he isn’t the best in ring performer, but he is excellent on the mike and does exactly what is asked of him by the company he works for.

Congrats to CM Punk and HHH. Very good match with lots of twists.

  23. MattR says:

Personally, I’ve been thinking since the first time Kelly Kelly and Beth had a match for the title a month or so ago, that Beth would get a rematch and lose. And, now Natalya will get a match and beat Kelly on her first try and then again in a rematch with ease, leading her to think she’s better than Beth, which will make Beth turn face or have a heel vs heel feud between the two.

  24. ACC says:

Mark Henry deserves this. I never thought I would say it but his push was handled perfectly and anything less would be a disappointment.

  25. Triple_P says:

Ron Simmons (Faarooq in WWE) was the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion ever in any wrestling organization that had major television showings in WCW.

The Rock is the first African-American/African-Canadian (Because of his dad) to ever win the WWF title (back when it was still the WWF before becoming WWE)

Booker T was the first African-American to win world titles in both WCW and WWE organizations, with 5 reigns in WCW and two in WWE. The Rock does not count on this since WWE owned WCW when he won the WCW World Heavyweight title.

R-Truth, a.k.a. Ron “The Truth” Killings and “The Sun-Tanned Superman” was the first ever NWA/NWA-TNA African-American World Heavyweight Champion.

Bobby Lashley was the first ever African-American ECW World Heavyweight champion (which counts in my book even though ECW was owned by WWE). A title that the Current World Heavyweight Champion has held in the past.

So Mark Henry is a new chapter for being a role model to pro wrestling fans of color. Regardless if they are African-American, African, Black, or people of color in general.

I am proud of Mark Henry. I have followed his wrestling career since 1994. He is one of the last 90’s stars that is still involved in WWE and is now considered a true veteran, regardless of what the naysayers have to say about it. Their opinions simply do not matter.

I am very pleased at the current direction and the significant improvements in the story telling as of late in the WWE.

Here is hoping that Kofi Kingston will become the first African World Heavyweight Champion ever in WWE.

Also, I am hoping that Shelton Benjamin will become the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion in Ring Of Honor; and I am hoping that Elijah Burke/D’angelo Dinero becomes the first TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Last but not least, I am hoping that Ezekial Jackson becomes the first African South American or African Brazilian to become a major world champion in WWE, even though he is the last ECW Champion ever, he never had a chance to shine with that belt or defend it to prove his status.

So here is to the future for more diversity in the World title picture. Including Sin Cara with that. Thanks for reading.
