Detailed 8/29/11 Raw Recap

– Welcome to live coverage of tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw which emanates from the BOK Center in Tulsa Oklahoma.
The show opens with HHH making his way to the ring. HHH says it’s his job to give the best the WWE has to offer. HHH says starting tonight Smackdown stars will join Raw every night to form the Raw supershow, until further notice. HHH says Nash is pissed at him for not letting him be a man with CM Punk and should come to the ring if he wants to be a man with him CM Punk comes to the ring instead. Punk says “What a performance” and wants HHH to start telling the truth. Nash comes out to the nWo theme. Nash says he had his driver call John Laurinaitis and tell him he got into a car accident. He needed HHH out of the building so he can deal with Punk says Nash. Nash says Punk is the problem and he is not only insulting him but insulting Hunter and his wife. Nash asks what kind of man is HHH.
HHH says he is the kind of man who doesn’t expect his friends to lie to him. HHH tells Nash to leave and to not come back. Nash says he lied about the accident but not the text message. Nash says Laurinaitis says signed him to a very large contact when HHH was out of the building last week. Says it’s guaranteed money. Punk cuts them off pretending to puke at what he is seeing. Says no one believes what they are saying. Says he is happy the Clique is back and Clique is the sound the remote control makes when Nash is on TV and it’s the sound Nash’s knees make when he walks to the ring. Nash tells HHH to book he match for Night of Champions. Punk says it’s fitting since Nash is a champion ass kisser. Punk says Hunter needs to get his wife’s permission to make the match since she wears the pants in the family. Hunter says the match is on, and he has two words for both of them as the fans yell SUCK IT! Randy Orton’s music hits as Nash and Punk stare each other down. They announce Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton is next.
– Randy Orton vs. Dolph Ziggler
Orton whips Ziggler into the turn buckle. Dolph reverses it but Orton comes out of the corner with a clothesline. Orton missed the jumping knee and Ziggler puts the boots to him in the corner. Whips Orton off the ropes and Orton lands a Thez Press. Orton attempts the DDT off the second rope but is distracted by Vickie. Dolph dumps him outside the ring and hits the Zig Zag. Orton makes it back in the before the 10 count. Ziggler puts the boots to him as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Ziggler rams Orton’s head into the steel steps. Jack Swagger is watching on a monitor in the back. Ziggler applies a rear chin lock. Orton powers out but Ziggler cuts him off with an elbow. Ziggler goes to the 2nd rope but is caught by Orton. Orton hits a superplex for a two count. Orton hits two clotheslines and his carry over powerslam. Hits Ziggler with a belly to belly suplex. Ziggler kicks Orton in the gut and hits the rocker dropper for a two count. Orton reverses a neck breaker into a school boy for a two count. Orton teases the punt but gets caught with a super kick. Ziggler misses the Zig Zag and Orton lands the 2nd rope DDT. Orton sets up for the RKO but is countered with s sleeper. Orton reverses flips Dolph over his head and hits the RKO for the win.
Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall
Cena is set to be interviewed by Josh Matthews. Cena stops as he is about to speak and is headed to the ring.
Cena makes his way to the ring and the crowd is 50/50 as usual. Says Del Rio’s actions speak louder than his words. Says his actions show he is not a champion of honor and has no class. Every action has a reaction and a repercussion. Says he will kick his teeth so far down his throat that his mouth will be his anus. Says if Del Rio wants some, come get some. Mark Henry’s music hits and enters the ring. Henry says he came down to the ring to get some. Brags about how he beat Sheamus last week and says Cena will join the Hall of Pain. Says the winner of tomorrow’s cage match will join his list too and he will be the new world champion at Night of Champions. Christian’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Says he will deal with Mark at another time and tells Cena he makes him sick to his stomach. He can’t stand someone who wines and complains until they get what they want. Cena makes fun of Christian’s fake tan and Henry’s breath. Cena challenges them to fight or leave. They surround Cena until Sheamus runs down to the ring. Christian jumps out of the ring. Henry thinks about fighting both of them but leaves.
John Laurinaitis in the back says he is making John Cena & Sheamus vs. Christian & Mark Henry for tonight. HHH walks in and says he already made the match and reminds him that he is his boss.
CM Punk vs. The Miz
CM Punk is already in the ring and Miz is walking to the ring with mic in his hand. Says he can’t stand the garbage coming out his mouth. Says he spoke his mind before Punk did. Says he is the most see WWE champion of all time and better get some respect soon.
They lockup and Miz powers Punk into the corner but Punk lands a few leg kicks and follows up with a suplex. Punk gord to the top rope but Miz shakes the rope and Punk crotches himself on he rope. Miz hits a running knee to the head of Punk for two count. Punk fires back with more leg kicks but Miz kicks Punk in the gut and lands a DDT for a two count. Miz applies a chin lock. Punk headbutts his way out but Miz hits a neck breaker for a two count. Miz lands the jumping clothesline in the corner and hits Punk with a double ax handle from the top rope for a two count. Miz applies the chin lock again. Punk powers out and goes for the GTS. Miz counters with a reverse DDT for only a two count. Both men trade back for forth with punches until Miz lands another neck breaker. Miz throws Punk through the turnbuckles as his shoulder hits the post and he falls outside to the floor.
CM Punk powers out of the chin lock with a belly to back suplex. Punks lands a spinning back kick and follows up with the running knee in the corner. Punk lands a spring board clothesline. CM Punk lands a double under hook power bomb onto his knee for a two count. Punk climbs to the top rope and Miz stops him but Punk counters with double chops to Miz’s neck. Punk lands the Macho Man elbow drop. Punk signals for the GTS and R-Truth runs into the ring and the ref calls for the bell. Miz and Truth throw Punk outside the ring. Punk comes back and throws Miz into the barrier. Brings R-Truth back in the ring and hits the GTS.
Nash comes to the ring and Punk is distracted long enough for Miz to nail him from behind. This lead to Kevin Nash hitting the Jack Knife Power bomb and Punk is laid out in the middle of the ring.
Winner: CM Punk via DQ
Sin Cara enters the ring with trampoline entrance and fireworks. Jack Swagger is out next.
Sin Care counters Swaggers single leg takedown with an Enzuguri that knocks Swagger outside the ring. Sin Cara lands a Asai Moonsault all the way to the floor. They both get back in the ring Swagger cuts off Sin Cara with a clothesline. Swagger hits a Vader Bomb as Vickie Guerrero comes to the ring. Sin Cara flips out of a belly to back suplex and hits Swagger with a jumping sunset flip for a two count. Swagger cuts him off with an inside out clothesline. Dolph Ziggler comes to ringside to make Vickie go back to the locker room. Swagger is distracted by this as Sin Cara hits a spinning DDT from the second rope. Sin Cara lands a spring board swanton bomb followed by a spring board moonsault for the pin.
Winner: Sin Cara via pinfall.
WWE Tag Team Title Match:
-Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty
Lawler is talking trash about Otunga & McGillicutty saying they never defended the belts and says they are boring. The finish comes when Evan Bourne jumps on the center of the top rope and onto the floor on to Otunga. Kofi hits McGillicutty with Trouble in Paradise for the pin.
Winner: Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne.
After the match, David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty get in Lawler’s face. They yell at him, blaming him for losing because of all the comments he made. They both throw a pair of headsets in Lawler’s face.
Kelly Kelly comes to the ring for her match with Eve in her corner. The Bellas come to the ring and Brie Bella will be in action tonight. Brie gets the advantage early and they cut to Beth & Natalya are watching on the monitor saying the people are part of the problem because they cheer Kelly every night and they should be in the ring tonight. Kelly comes back with a Thez Press. Both end up outside the ring. The ref tries to gain control as the Bella perform twin magic and Nikki hits Kelly with the Face buster for the pin.
Winner: Brie Bella via pin fall
The trailer for HHH’s new movie, Inside Out is shown……….yawn.
Main Event time! Mark Henry and Christian are already in the ring. Sheamus comes out with taped ribs followed by John Cena. Christian and Sheamus start off the match as Sheamus clotheslines Christian and Christian cowers to the ropes and tags Mark Henry. They stare each down and Sheamus drops Henry to one knee with several forearms to the back. Henry cuts him off with a clothesline and stomps him while riping the tape off Sheamus’s ribs. Henry tags Christian and he applies a front face lock. Sheamus lifts up Christian to make the tag but is stopped with knees to the stomach. Christian jumps off the second rope and is caught and hit with the Irish Curse. Sheamus makes the hot tag to John Cena and Cena hits the five moves of doom, followed up with the AA but Christian escapes. Cena meets him with a powerslam and knocks Henry off the ring apron. Cena goes for the AA. Christian gets out but Cena takes him down for the STF. Henry breaks it up and hits Cena with his running sliding splash through the second rope. Henry lands on his feet and meet with a clothesline off the ring apron. Back in the ring, Christian hits Cena with a spear for a two count. Sheamus hits Christin with the Brogue Kick and Christian stumbles into the AA and is pinned by John Cena.
Winner: Sheamus & John Cena via pinfall.
HHH is watching on the monitor and CM Punk walks in and sarcastically asks if HHH finally got a divorce after making marrying into the family and getting his millions. HHH says he got off the phone with the board of directors and Punk’s match with Kevin Nash has been canceled and he will now face HHH at Night of Champions. The show ends with HHH being starred at by a pissed off CM Punk while Sheamus and John Cena are celebrating their victory in the ring.
