Live Smackdown special announced

NEW YORK – August 18, 2011 – Syfy and WWE announced today its first ever WWE Smackdown live special, “SuperSmackdown Live,” on Tuesday, August 30 at 8-10PM/ET on Syfy, originating from the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

The Tuesday night special will feature WWE’s biggest Superstars and Divas, including World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton®, Christian®, Sheamus™, Mark Henry®, Sin Cara™, Cody Rhodes™, Wade Barrett™, Daniel Bryan™, Brodus Clay™, Natalya™ and Alicia Fox™.

The special will re-air in SmackDown’s regular time slot on Friday, September 2 from 8-10PM (ET/PT).

SmackDown is averaging 3.1 million total viewers for 2011 to date.

    And of course, as always with every smackdown “special”, we will see loads of people from RAW, I love smackdown I really do, but either kill the brand split or honor it, cuz they always mess with us like this

    I hope they aren’t bluffing about Brodus coming back. He and Wade would make a Hell of a tag team! Two imposing streetfighters from different countries; both bent on world domination… They would kick so much ass!

    Brodus Clay is not even a poor man’s King Kong Bundy more like a poor man’s Tugboat/Typhoon he sucks! Can’t move at all has no charisma, no mic skills, is currently by far worst WWE wrestler in a LONG TIME!

    I’m with Ed. There is simply put no room for brodus clay in wrestling. At least guys like umaga and rikishi had in ring abilities.

    Brodus is very telented. He could do a lot in the WWE if they use him. Would love to see him get a huge push.
