SPOILER: Potential matches not yet announced for Summerslam

– Daniel Bryan, who has been doing a lot interviews helping to promote Sunday’s Summerslam PPV, is hoping to face Wade Barrett at the Summerslam extravaganza.

– Cody Rhodes vs. Ezekial Jackson in a rematch for the IC title. (Jackson drops the title to Rhodes on Friday’s Smackdown, taped on Tuesday night in Sacramento).

Note, neither match is official, and as of this report, WWE has only officially announced four matches: John Cena vs. CM Punk (with Hunter as the special referee) for the WWE championship, Christian vs. Randy Orton for the World title, Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix for the Divas title, and Sheamus vs. Mark Henry.

Surely they need some more RAW matches. The Miz, Del Rio, Rey and Kofi all need matches. R-Truth vs. Morrison seemed obvious to be on Summerslam but now it seems less likely. Is this all because we have to waste match time watching Cee Lo Green perform? Maybe he can do some angle with R-Truth and Miz?

Does anyone else feel like they booked SummerSlam like an old WCW event? How do you not advertise a full card on one of your franchise PPV’s?

Santino + Goldust/Zack Ryder for Tag Titles

  4. McMahon says:

I don’t know why they gave away Truth vs. Morrison and Rhodes vs. Barrett this week on TV. Those definitely seemed like big PPV matches.
