Update on the Kings of Wrestling

It appears that the Ring of Honor stars Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero) are WWE bound. There are rumblings that the duo have taken their medicals with WWE, and the thought right now is that they will bypass WWE developmental and be assigned to the main roster, according to the Wrestling Observer site. On a side note, Former ROH champion Tyler Black (Seth Rollings) have been in developmental for months.

Castagnoli had signed a WWE developmental deal in November 2006, but was dropped before reporting to Deep South Wrestling.

-_- Oh yeah cause letting people skip the developmental system has worked out SOOO well!

FINALLY, a triple acquistion that will pay off.

So far Triple H is 0 for 2 with Sin Cara and Kharma.

Looks like he will get a base hit with the KOW.\

    1 for 3.

Well if your gonna let anybody bypass FCW, it’s these two. Sucks for ROH, but I’ll certainly be watching and hoping that they’re used right. I could easily see Hero and Claudio with WWE title gold around their waist within 3-5 years.

To be fair Kharma was out of his control and is not nesscsarily a failure…. yet. Remember Beth came in like a house of fire but still got injured and was injured for over 1 year and she still has had success. As for Sin Cara, I think WWE’s stupid im they let him go since he’s very over for how long he’s been there and Smackdown has like three faces otherwise
(Orton, Bryan, Ezekial, uhhhh…) and besides the lights I kinda dig his gimmick. Here’s to KOW hopefully being successful in WWE.

  5. JK says:

Sin Cara was drugs and Kharma pregnancy – neither of which are not management’s fault. Don’t forget, Johnny Ace hires and fires, not Trips. Unless there’s a tag team revival, KOW will be broken up and rebranded. Hero needs to get some mass on him or he won’t make it, period. Tyler Black has a ton of potential, but hasn’t been called up because he’s green as grass. WWE has learned their lesson in that regard.

  6. TakerNGN74 says:

@ JK, Tyler Black isn’t in KOW its Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero not sure if you made a mistake but they are in the KOW and Tyler Black is just another guy that they have in development from ROH.

  7. Boycott Facebook says:

Trips please bring back the tag team div.

  8. Deathedge says:

They are talented, but they have no credible tag teams to face, no credible belt to win, and though I think Chris Hero has a chance as a solo performer, I see little in Claudio.

I have heard people comment here about the KOW joining Punk and forming a group. While I like the idea of former ROH guys together, I feel that would kind of be overkill for Punk. I know this isn’t the topic of this post but I feel like getting this off my chest. First, he has the SES, went great til the Curse of Mercury joined. Then, he leads the ‘New Nexus’ but really, how new is it? The only ‘new’ thing they did was take out great talent in Gabriel, Barrett, even Slater and kept…Otunga…yea…

Again, don’t know if this reunion is gonna happen. Only what I have seen from people on this site. Never seen a ROH show, so I can only go by what people have said about Hero and Castagnoli. From what I have heard, whether in tag or singles action, they will be great and I’m very excited to see what they bring.
