Report: Sin Cara denies taking steroids

Reported by Adam Martin of

In an interview with The Record in Mexico, currently suspended WWE star Sin Cara stated that he was told by WWE management that he failed a Wellness Policy test for steroids, but wanted clarification of why he exactly failed. He later stated he would be meeting with Vince McMahon to discuss the issue and told the newspaper that many medications contain steroids and believes an injection he was given by a doctor for pain may have caused the positive test. Sin Cara denied taking steroids adding he wasn’t built like someone who would use them.

I think this is true why would he use steroids for the size he is

  2. Captain Ass says:

Size has nothing to do with it. Steroids help many things in your body, until you take them too much and you end up like a certain has been who is bitter in life all over again.

  3. bob holly says:

just go away already. and i hate to tell you sin cara but you do in fact look like someone juiced up. i know guys smaller than you who juice so maybe that lame excuse flies in may-hi-co but not here.

  4. Boycott Facebook says:

Out of all the big muscular man beasts on the roster, sin cara has to deal with this…? It’s a damn conspiracy like what R Truth said!

WWE hates small people except rey rey,

  5. Timothy says:

And Rey Mysterio has taken steroids. Go back to his WCW years, dude barely was as thin as a pencil. Now look at him, you don’t get that way no other way. So for Sin Cara to say that he isn’t built that way is complete utter bs

  6. Atlee Greene says:

Steroids help performance as much as they help someones build. It will be interesting to see what else comes out of this.

  7. Cornette's Face says:

Remember that years ago Funaki was also suspended for violating the wellness policy. If Funaki can get suspended, anybody also can.

  8. Agent Cooper says:

Rey Mysterio is a known steroid abuser too, so size has nothing to do with it.

  9. Randy Barms says:

@ Timothy Look at Rey in WCW? That was a long time ago and plenty of time to put on weight. Not to mention with the added weight gain due to a man’s metabolism slowing as get ages which can then be used for bulking up. I think to just say “look at that person then….he gained weight” isn’t a great argument.

  10. Brian says:

Maybe Sin Cara just used harmless cocaine.

  11. Z says:

    @ Randy Barms

It’s not about weight, it’s about muscle mass. If you don’t want to go back as far as WCW, look at his Indy/Puerto Rico stuff in ’01/’02 then look at his debut for WWE later in ’02. You don’t put on that much muscle mass without some help.

  12. Adam says:

I get sick of all the wrestler bashing for cryin out loud. Maybe the guy is telling the truth? Maybe he’s not. The real reason most people are backing this steroid tyrate is due to the poor guy getting pushed before he could adapt and be adapted to style-wise. Could any of you do half of what he does? Even when botching a move could you? I say leave the poor guy alone, let him serve his suspension, send him to FCW for 6 months to adapt, THEN see what happens. He would be every bit as good as Rey Rey I bet. And maybe gys and gals he is telling the truth about the injection.

  13. Rex Anderson says:

What Captain Ass said. Pretty much is what I was going to say.
