Chavo Guerrero’s rants about MITB

Chavo Guerrero posted the following on his Twitter:

“Ok, don’t “Fin” say that ppl will talk about this for years if you’re going to let Punk do all the work and not deliver at the PPV, Cena. I am tired and I know fans are tired of WWE Superstars talking big and not delivering. We don’t want to see some1 just in a fight. We’ve…And frankly no1 believes it anymore. If Miz can kick your ass then the clerk at the store can kick your ass, so plz deliver if u say that..Ppl will remember this PPV. U know Punk will bring “it”. I’ve been in the ring with both of u & Punk has “it”. Cena u have mic skills yes,.But if u think ppl believe your BS lazy comeback that u do exactly the same every match then u are mistaken. Eddie & I taught u different..We never said “get lazy” & do the dame thing every night. We always said” think out of the box” & give the fans what they deserve & not rely On the “machine”to ” get u over”. I hope this lights a fire under your ass & U deliver this Sunday. Dont just rest on U being over cuz u are & that is easy. Challenge yourself & give the fans what they deserve. That’s why they boo u. Because they aren’t stupid. They know what They pay for & the “great” promo guy but the shitty “match” guy that u have become is not what they want. I understand “longevity” but at The sacrifice of the fans trust is not worth it. Deliver on your fans & deliver on why U got into this business.Eventually the fans that U have gained with from the purple t-shirts will turn on U. Take a lesson from the Hulkster. Give the fans there $ worth and dont become Just Another “promo” guy. I know u love this biz & dont get distracted from the McMahon $. Deliver plz!! Have enough respect for your fans..Cuz without them, you’re working at a fast food chain. Love u man & I support u & hope u see this cuz I know Punk will & I know he’s going To bring it cuz he’s got nothing to lose!”

Chavo giving advice on main eventing? That’s funny because if it was not for Eddies passing he would have been let go years ago, instead he got paid well for nothing. And he never went higher than mid card, so he really has no right to say anything about Cena as he is the one that makes millions in merchandise sales.

    Oooooooooooo Chavo!

  3. Jouni says:

Chavo is so right. All Cena matches have that same ass kicking in the beginning and the same frickin’ comeback in the end. LAME!

  4. Tobias says:

    @Jouni….it worked for the Hulkster.

  5. Hogan matters says:

& U ppl believe “it” cuz McMahon $ biz BS…plz,.?
sorry this is barely readable, but I think I get what he’s saying!

    KP,

Chavo isn’t giving advice on main eventing, he’s imploring Cena to give the fans one hell of a match instead of the same formulaic, dial-in performance he’s been giving for years now.

Chavo Guerrero, despite how he was used by the company, is one of the more well-rounded wrestlers in the company. The company wouldn’t have kept him this long if he was truly useless without Eddie Guerrero. By your logic, Matt Hardy should’ve been released years ago after Jeff Hardy defected.

While Chavo may not have the money following him (which is honestly up to the company 51% more than it is the performer…take the Giant Gonzales for example…), he’s definitely a far better wrestler than Cena and that’s the honest to God’s truth. Cena’s marketable, but so was Hogan; money does not equal “the best.” Both Michaels and Hart were “the best,” but their championship reigns didn’t bring in billions of merch sales either.

So he indeed has a right to offer his opinion.

@Hogan matters: maybe he’s drinking and tweeting like Kurt Angle

  8. -Jay- says:

Amazing how they grow a set once they leave…”Take a lesson from the Hulkster” somewhere a tear wells in grandpa hogan’s eye.

  9. ILMH says:

Solid advice from a guy who’s finisher is “Laying On His Back And Being Pinned”

I do agree with the sentiment in most of what Chavo says, but he’s pretty much echoing what everyone else always says . “Cena only does three things, blah blah blah”, yet he’s always in MotY candidates for some reason. Those three things must be FREAKING AMAZING.

While his words hold merit, looping himself in with Eddie is like Horace Hogan writing a blog about how him and Hulk revolutionize wrestling. You made a name for yousself Chavo, don’t ride the coat tails of your deceased uncle, they’re already worn out by Rey Mysterio.

  10. Kellman73 says:

Uh. Yeah. Hey..Chavo..uh, not for nothing, but when was the last time the Hulk gave the fans their $ worth?

  11. aag44 says:

How many tweets did this take!? :o

  12. Dann says:

Lol at aag44 :D read my mind

  13. Julian says:

@KP ok first off…Chavo has every right to give him advice…he might have not main evented but Chavo was a valuable work horse who always used a variety of moves in his arsenal. He told Cena to risk alot for the fans in the ring. Cena does not do that…he can hurt himself from fives moves of doom. That is playing it waaaay to safe that it is almost insulting. Chavo might not have been in main events but people respect his advice. Chavo and Eddie always mentored Cena and other guys coming up on smackdown…Their relationship hasnt changed since Cena started his championship legacy. Cena is still humbled to all Chavo’s advice. The vets like Chavo are called “Locker Rooms leaders” Usually there are multiple with one main guy on top. Chris Jericho was a top locker room leader before he left. Chavo was one of the other Locker room leaders. Show more respect. Because Mr.Cena has nothing for respect for the man.

  14. Bill says:

    I thought tweets had a 140 character maximum…?

  15. Bo says:

Cena was never a great in ring worker. Hogan was also horrible in the ring. Neither are wrestlers based on their work in between the ropes. Give Cena 50 bucks and tell him he’s driving the bus after the show to the airport.

    I can’t see you…and don’t want to.

  16. Jonathon says:

@Tobias Yes, it worked for the Hulkster. But, this isn’t 1986, and he isn’t Hogan.

  17. tynen says:

Chavo and Eddie R.I.P were 2 of the best superstars wwe ever had

  18. Rick says:

    He types like an ass!

    He sounds like a chav.

  19. Ashley says:

I agree with @Julian completely on this one. Chavo was a fantastic wrestler. He wasnt afraid that he might accidently get hurt trying out new moves every one in a while. Look at the other wrestlers that Chavo grew up around I think he does have the right to give advice. I mean He has been around wrestling alot longer than Cena. He knows more about this business. Cena needs to take his advice before all of his fans turn on him. He should have listened to Eddie <3 and Chavo <3 before.
