WWE signs a former NAIA national champion

Reported by Adam Martin of Wrestleview.com

According to a report by The Medina-Gazette, WWE has signed Derek Foore, a 6-foot and 230 pound college athlete, to a developmental contract. The article notes that Foore had a tryout with WWE at the Florida Championship Wrestling territory in Tampa and offered him a deal shortly after that.

“They asked me, ‘Would you like to be in the WWE?’ and I said, ‘Send the contract over.’ I had a constant headache all week from bumps in the ring when I was down there. Everything blew me away at first, but they’re all nice people. It’s like a fraternity there.”
