On this day in 1988, the wrestling world lost former WWF and AWA Tag Champion ‘Adorable’ Adrian Adonis. He was just 33 years old. Adonis perished in a minivan accident, when driver (and fellow wrestler) Mike Kelly allegedly swerved to avoid a moose and crashed into a lake. Mike survived the crash, but his twin brother Pat and Dave ‘The Wildman’ McKigney also died in the incident.
