Title Changes

1962 – Don Kent defeats Red McKim to win the TSW Oklahoma and Oklahoma Junior Heavyweight Titles. Also, Jack & Jim Dalton defeat Alberto & Ramon Torres to win the TSW Southwestern Tag Team Titles

2000 – Crash Holly defeats Steve Blackman to win the WWF Hardcore Title but would lose it back to Blackman before the end of the night

2002 – on Smackdown, Edge & Hulk Hogan defeat Billy & Chuck to win the WWF Tag Team Titles

2007 – on Raw, Umaga defeats Santino Marella to win the WWE Intercontinental Title


Happy birthday to former WWF Tag and Light Heavyweight Champion Scotty 2 Hotty (38), former WCW star Joe Gomez (38), WWE referee Charles Robinson (47), WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart (54) and former WWE Diva Amy Weber (41)

In Memoriam

On this day in 1969, the wrestling world lost NWA and AWA star ‘Iron’ Mike DiBiase at the age of 45. DiBiase suffered a heart attack in a match against Man Mountain Mike. Harley Race was at the event and attempted CPR, but DiBiase never recovered and was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital
