Jim Ross comments on a possible Mick Foley return to WWE

Jim Ross posted a new blog. He is asked about Mick Foley.

Q. Do I think that Mick Foley will ever return to WWE?

JR: Better question for Mick to answer than me and he’s on Twitter. I don’t know. I do think that Mick’s best, on going assets are his verbal skills and not a long string of wrestling bouts. Mick’s PR value to any company is significant. Someone also asked if Mick vs. Undertaker at WM28 would make sense. For me, no. That ship has sailed and those two can never replicate what they once had and did back in the day nor do I think that they should try. However, Mick Foley is a great human being and certainly a future WWE Hall of Famer in my eyes. Mick is another guy who would be a great mentor to young talents in any developmental system.

foley for Raw annonymous Raw GM

Not sure if Mick is really eager to go back to the WWE. He never seems to get along with Vince for very long. He left last time because he got fed up with Vince screaming in his ear while on commentary.

foley just seems like a great guy. one of the few good minds left in the business. unlike hogan and bischoff, he seems to really care about helping young talent and improving the business as a whole, no matter where he is. WWE or TNA should be glad to have someone like that working for them in any capacity.

I really think Foley would be a good manager for a young talent, espcially because he could occasionally get in the ring and wrestle. He could help build said talent until the guy is ready to break out then possibly feud with the guy kinda like he did for orton.

  5. T says:

Foley should focus on his charity work. He has nothing left to prove to as his legacy is solid.

@Agent Cooper, That’s something Mick’s commented publicly on, though, and he’s said Vince and he cleared the air, with Vince praising his commentary. And with Vince promoting his book not just on the website, but on their flagship show as well, regardless of the fact that he wouldn’t make any money out of it. So I think whether their working relationship gets fraught, there’ll always be a respect for each other there.

I’d like to see him back, in a recurring capacity, maybe not every week. Almost like when HBK was commissioner, an authority figure, maybe the RAW GM, and they could keep up the whole email thing by not having him come to TV every week. Interesting to see what he would do.
