Audit reveals WWE owes unemployment benefits

Reported by Adam Martin of Wrestleview.com

According to an article by The Associated Press, a two-year long audit of WWE has revealed the company owes $7,316 in “underpaid unemployment compensation for certain WWE employees.” The audit was a result of former WWE CEO Linda McMahon running for U.S. Senate back in 2010 in a move she called political.

“In a letter to the Connecticut Department of Labor’s field audit unit, dated Monday, an attorney for WWE says the wrestling company does not agree with all of the agency’s findings. However, WWE has decided to pay the assessment “under protest” because the company determined it was less expensive than challenging the findings.”
