Paul Heyman puts over CM Punk

Paul Heyman via Twitter:

I’m sure he will get heat for me saying this, but CM Punk is STILL the most underutilized talent on the WWE roster … It’s amazing to me (and not in a good way) that WWE doesn’t see how CM Punk has brought out the best in every opponent.

Paul Heyman knows talent when he see’s it.

  2. Tim Steed says:

    Totally agree with Heyman!
Watching him get squashed by Orton for the best of 4 months was brutal.
    Guy deserves so much better.

  3. Thomas says:

Heyman is one of people’s opinion I tend to listen to.

  4. WWE says:

I think Heyman is a little over the top. Punk is very underutilized, but he does not bring out the best in other talent. He’s still below average at best in the ring.

  5. Drew says:

I completely agree with heyman, Paul Heyman should be the head of talent relations for WWE!

  6. Fahim Abrar says:

CM Punk has the capability to carry the flag to the next decade….but, WWE has changed its direction!

  7. Peoples champ says:

I would agree with heyman, CM PUNK is the underutilised wrestler in WWE….

  8. Michael says:

Below average? CM Punk as far from below average. I used to follow him before his WWE days and he was nothing short of amazing in the ring. WWE’s style of wrestling has a tendency to dumb down peoples abilities by not allowing them to perform in a way that truly showcases their pure talent.

  9. drxfeelgood says:

If Punk wasn’t any good in the ring, I don’t think anyone would care if he wasn’t used. To say he’s below average is insanity!!!!!

  10. Dave says:

Punk does bring the best out of people because A, he can work a match blindfolded and when I say work, I mean he can carry a match through psychology, pacing, reading a crowd and he sells well enough but he isn’t over the top either. Although he has been in the past when he wants to poke fun.

CM Punk is a walking wrestling brain, his knowledge is second to none. He is the only wrestler comparable to HHH and CM Punk could be as big as HHH circa 2001-2005.

  11. Jim says:

He is also one of those rare guys that can maintain their heat even when showing his ass like he has for months with Orton.

  12. Denis says:

Saying Punk is below average is like saying Hulk Hogan was the second coming of Lou Thesz. Punk is one of the few workers that the WWE has that can actually work, heel or face, and bring out the best in his opponents. Like Michael said, Punk’s work on the independent scene and Ring of Honor was nothing short of amazing. Go back and check out some of his matches, then see if you still believe he is “below average.”

  13. Buddy Rogers says:

Heyman ruined every finishing move in the game with his Extremely Crappy Wrestling and while paying very little money condoned young men who really didn’t know any better inducing concussions and body breaking and career shortening moves and bumps on each other.

He’s the type of lowlife who incites a bar brawl and then when you assign blame to him walks around feigning ignorance asking indignantly why you are blaming him.

Paul Heyman always has been and always will be a low-life POS whose sole interest is looking out for # 1 while other do the heavy lifting.

  14. N. Gaijin says:

Not only did Heyman say this, Austin seconded on his twitter account as well. Seems there was a bit of an amusing ribbing going on afterwards too.
