2002 – tonight’s Raw is the first under the WWE name


In 2000, WWF Insurrextion saw the final PPV appearance of The British Bulldog (Davey Boy Smith). It was held in London, England

– The Kat defeats Terri Runnels in an Arm Wrestling Match. After the match, Terri pulled off The Kat’s top, exposing her breasts
– Kurt Angle defeats Chris Benoit
– The British Bulldog defeats Crash Holly to win the WWF Hardcore Title
– The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff) defeat Edge & Christian by DQ (E&C retain the WWF Tag Team Titles)
– Eddie Guerrero defeats Chris Jericho to retain the WWF European Title
– The Rock defeats Shane McMahon & Triple H in a Triple Threat Match to retain the WWF Title

Title Changes

1969 – Ramon & Alberto Torres defeat Karl von Stronheim & Treacherous Phillips to win the TSW United States Tag Team Titles

1974 – Rip Tyler ends Bob Sweetan’s 2-year reign as TSW Brass Knucks Champion

1982 – Black Tiger defeats Gran Hamada to win the vacant WWF Junior Heavyweight Title

1984 – Kerry von Erich defeats Ric Flair to win the NWA World Title

1984 – The Rock & Soul Connection (Buck Zumhofe & King Parsons) defeat The Super Destroyers (1 & 2) to win the WCCW American Tag Team Titles. Also, The Von Erichs (Fritz, Kevin & Mike) defeat The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy, Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts) in a No-DQ Badstreet Bout Match to win the WCCW World 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Fritz immediately gives his share of the titles to Kerry von Erich

1985 – The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) defeat The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) in a No-DQ 2-Ring Match to win the vacant WCCW American Tag Team Titles

2002 – on Raw, William Regal defeats Spike Dudley to win the the WWE European Title. Also, the WWF Hardcore Title is passed from Steven Richards, to Bubba Ray Dudley, to Raven, to Justin Credible, to Crash Holly, to Trish Stratus and back to Richards.

2009 – Manabu Nakanishi defeats Hiroshi Tanahashi to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title
