TNA News on Destination X, AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson and more

– is reporting that the plan is to have the Destination X PPV in July feature nothing but X Division wrestlers and matches. One of the hooks for the show will be to have former X wrestlers such as Styles, Joe and Daniels return to the division for one night. There has even been talk of bringing back former X Division workers who are no longer on the roster for one night. Styles vs Kazarian has been talked about as the PPV’s main event.

– has announced that Mr. Anderson will be chatting online during the Sacrifice PPV for those who purchase it via so I would assume that he will not be featured in a match on the event.

– Jason Powell is reporting that TNA has talked about bringing back the Elevation X match to wrap up the AJ Styles vs Bully Ray feud.

– has a new red bag sale going on. For $30 it includes 6 random DVDs, a Jeff Hardy t-shirt and the exclusive 1 of 3,000 Jakks AJ Styles figure.

– Weekend estimates for Kurt Angle’s latest film “Dylan Dog: Dead of Night” have it doing $885,000 in 975 theaters. It debuted in 16th place overall. The film has so far grossed $2,864,721 worldwide with a budget in the $30 million range.

100% yes do that for Destination X…not only will it help revitalize the division but it will help but it will also give them 2 months to build up to the August PPV and feuds that may be going on at that point.

Destination X will only have meaning if they intend to push the division farther AFTER the PPV. They really should be doing more with it. The X-Division used to be one of the things TNA proudly boasted about itself. They really should get back to that and prove that such workers ARE valuable, much to Vince’s disagreement.

  3. Really? says:

If this is true, it is GREAT news.

  4. Korey Parker says:

How is that great news? They will have one great PPV then back to putting the X-division under.

I’ll believe it when I see it, remember they had the same plan last year and nothing came of it. Don’t get your hopes up people. Even if it does happen, what really matters is if they follow up with a consistent focus on the x division and the talent who are part of it.

Now if destination X fails to get any buys.. then what will the IWC complain out? I mean you push what makes you money.. if destination X fails.. then what??
