– Rob Van Dam & Kane defeat The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & D-Von) to retain the World Tag Team Titles
– Jazz defeats Trish Stratus to win the WWE Womens Title
– Brock Lesnar defeats John Cena to retain the WWE Title
– Goldberg defeats The Rock

In 2008, Backlash was held in Baltimore, Maryland

– Matt Hardy defeats MVP to win the WWE United States Title
– Kane defeats Chavo Guerrero to retain the ECW Title
– Shawn Michaels defeats Batista with Chris Jericho as special guest referee
– The Undertaker defeats Edge to retain the World Heavyweight Title
– Triple H defeats Randy Orton, John Cena & JBL in a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to win the WWE Title

Title Changes

1978 – Assassin #1 wins a tournament to win the vacant TSW Louisiana Title

1981 – Tommy Rich defeats Harley Race to win the NWA World Title

1981 – Junkyard Dog & Dick Murdoch defeat The Grappler & The Super Destroyer in a Cage Match to win the MSW Tag Team Titles

1990 – Keiji Mutoh & Masahiro Chono defeat Masa Saito & Shinya Hashimoto to win the IWGP Tag Team Titles

1992 – Lauren Davenport defeats Dirty White Girl to win the USWA Womens Title

1992 – Barry Windham defeats Steve Austin to win the WCW Television Title

1997 – Jerry Lawler defeats King Reginald to win the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Title

2008 – Keiji Mutoh defeats Shinsuke Nakamura to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title
